Is "downgraded" the proper terminology in French? Because here, you get downgraded from stable to critical, not the other way around. That's an upgrade, and its welcome news. Downgraded..upgraded... The main thing is that Jarreau's condition is slightly improving! He is being transferred today to an hospital in the larger city of Marseille where he is to stay for the next few days.

Latest reports indicate Al Jarreau has been taken off the critical list. His condition has been downgraded 'from critical to stable'. 'He is conscious, awake but tired'.
