I think Fox was mighty ticked at the extra innings- they had the season premiere of 'House' on last night and I beleive that show gets pretty good ratings.

Postponed until tomorrow due to inclement weather!

It seems so ironic that for years the Raiders were a lousy team and Davis was roundly criticized for it, and now when they're getting good he passes. He changed football. He was a Brooklyn native who attended Erasmus High School, which was about 7 blocks from my childhood abode.

He changed the way millions of people listen to music- for that alone he was a revolutionary.

What live music are you going to see tonight?

Saturday night I caught Imelda May. Great show, just straight hard-rockin' rockabilly. -
Your flow chart reminded me of another alto player, Anthony Braxton- it looks like the title of one of his pieces.

You are right that was a great night of baseball, but lets face it if the Yankees played all their regulars and put MO in at the end , the Rays would have lost too. What about Crawford, he can't catch that ball? Manny could! Seriously,Crawford may be the best all round athlete on the club and he dives for the ball as if it's a hand grenade. Yankees earned the right to play the game the way they did...and I'm sure some of them enjoyed seeing the Red Sox not make the playoffs by their loss. Fine , Colts did the same thing with the Jets and how did that turn out ? Reports are that Francona has been FIRED!...i am sure they will say it was amicable. From what I heard, Francona's contract is up and the team has options for 2012 and 2013. They may just choose not to exercise the options and part ways.

I kept flipping among the Braves, Yanks and Bosox last night and it was one of the most exciting nights of baseball I've seen in a long time. No scriptwriter could have come up with this, the plot twists and surprises were amazing. Even using mostly AAA pitchers I thought for sure that tha Yanks would win, just as I thought for sure that Papelbon(he looks like a psycho serial killer on the mound) would get the save. I wonder about Crawford myself on that attempted catch. He was playing shallow, so if he doesn't make the catch the game is over, so why not dive?

Has anyone heard anything recently about his health? I hope he's doing well. I was at the same concert as Hardbopjazz and it was my first time seeing Rivers play. Because of his health he couldn't play much, but what he did play was excellent. he made up for it by having Steve Coleman and Craig Harris as guests.

Now it's really getting crazy. Bosox hang on to win in Baltimore while the Rays beat the Yanks, so they're both tied with one game to go. Atlanta loses and the Cards have a late lead, so they could also be tied with one game to go. This is exciting!!! Because the playoffs start on Friday, the Yanks won't use Robertson/Soriano/Rivera tomorrow in order to keep them rested for Friday. Some regulars will certainly be rested, so the Yanks are almost giving the Rays the game from the outset. On the other side, Baltimore is playing the Bosox tough and Showalter wil give it everything he has to win the game. I'm so glad I have MLBN.

Well worth getting, his octets are so well arranged that at times they sound like a big band.
-
The Angels are creeping back into the picture and now it's possible that the Rays & Bosox will both be out of the playoffs.
-
Listening to the first disc now and while I've heard this before from bootleg sources, this is even better. Now where the hell do I put the @#$%^& booklet!
-
After today's loss Tampa Bay may be dead. They're now 2 back in the loss column to the Bosox and Tampa bay has to be smarting after the loss, they led 2-1 until the 8th when the Yanks score 3 to take it.

Mine arrived today, I'll crack it open later.

I preordered the Winterland set from Amazon and I came out on the short end of the deal. I preordered at $40.99, they shipped it, and now the price is around $35.00!!!! I went back to Amazon on this, looking for a refund of the difference and so far they refuse. So what's the advantage to preordering other than making sure you get the product?
-
Are you choice? At this point I'm probably chuck chopped!
-
I got a shipping notice today(I'm not prime).

I got it yesterday and I'm cracking it open this weekend. There's a lengthy discussion on the Hoffman board that is quite detailed as one would expect.

Bobby Flay is a native New Yorker(Bronx) -
i was just speaking with a friend today and he added HBO and a couple of other premium channels(he has the Verizon bundle of cable/phone/ISP)and his bill is now less than it was before. He also got his cellphone added to his bill(Verizon, too) and it reduced his bill even further!
-
Down to $29.47. They should reduce all preorders to that price. If I'm not mistaken, preorders get the final price. I think Amazon calls it price protection or something like that.

Hampton didn't treat Priester very well either.

The Dangers of Drinking While Drunk
PHILLYQ replied to Teasing the Korean's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
TTK, maybe next time you might lock up the stuff you don't want to drink, so at least it'll be difficult to get to. I make sure I'm not driving, I'm someplace easy to get home from ,etc. -

One thought that keeps going through my mind is that in cases of crimes such as what's alleged against Bill Barton the feds usually won't even proceed to an indictment unless they have an airtight case. I haven't reviewed any evidence and I don't know what the feds have in this particular case, so I can't really judge at this juncture but I can't help but think that thought.
