The last time I visited the Times Square store a couple years back, they chased me and everyone else out of the downstairs section. Shakira was to appear later and they needed the space. Never got to buy anything that day.

A question to you knowledgable folks who follow this sort of thing. If the past is any sort of indication, how long is the time lapse between "Running Low" and "Last Chance"? If I can manage to sit this out say perhaps two months it would make things a hell of alot easier.

Shoot! I've also been interested in the Hodges set but opted for the Nelson set instead. I really enjoy his small group sessions with Ellington. (Side By Side and Back To Back.) What to do?

Sounds like Chris is the go to person if I need any updates on the shows story line. Our cable system also carries the Soapnet channel which reruns the weeks worth of programs from 7 - midnight on Saturday nights. Not that you'll find me sitting in front of the tv screen on Saturday nights?

Dan, I hesitated at first posting this. Wondering what "the guys" here might conclude. Well I guess my dark secret is out of the closet.

Funny stuff. I was watching today these 2 guys on the soap opera "The Young And Restless" conversing about jazz. One guy is sitting there telling a story how he was able as a kid to sneak into a club to watch the Chick Corea electric band perform. The other guy reminisces about seeing "The Weather Report" perform at a club called Andy's in Chicago. Got to see Joe Zawinul. I'm sitting with the wife as I'm watching this chuckling to myself, she having no idea what these guys were talking about. Just thought it was kind of amusing.

I realise I have it good fellas. She realises I'm abit obsessive when it comes to the music, but also understands it makes me happy. The Oliver Nelson Mosaic arrived today. With the weather so lousy here, I'll have plenty of opportunities to listen to this great stuff. And yes, I got my wife a Valentines present last week. You can never go wrong with jewelry.

I convinced the wife for Valentines Day to get me a Mosaic box set. She got me two! I already received the Hank Mobley set today. She ordered it yesterday morning. The Oliver Nelson set should be in my hands soon. I'm also on vacation all this week. Life is good.

Despite these problems, I still find AMG a terrific resource. I do miss the Jazz Guide books though. It's been many years since they came out with a new edition.

I've had issues with the slowness of the site and I run off a cable modem. Sometimes the page wont even load.Sometimes when I hit the back button. then fwd button, then the page loads. Server issues?

I borrowed Monk's Blues from a friend recently and frankly didn't get much enjoyment from it. I remember asking for a few comments on this release and pretty much people were negative.

My wife tells me when I start saying "uh huh' it means I'm not really interested in what she's saying.

I've had no issues whatsoever with the exception of a recent order. I believe it may have taken a week or longer to arrrive which is very unusual. Of all the sellers I use, these guys hands down are the best. Hope that shipment arrives soon!
