Where are you moving to? I'm moving to Reno, Nevada. I lived there from the ages of 2 - 12. I just can't afford to buy a house here (in Orange County).

I don't know if this counts, but I'll be moving out of California in 11 days. Driving the moving truck will be my vacation.

I feel the same way about those Vee Jay sets, John. I never imagined I'd love them so much. Right now, I'm spending the day with the Condon Mob.

The first live concert I attended (on my own) was the Cure. It was 1984 and they were playing in the basketball gym at a local university. I'd never seen so many people dressed in black and smoking clove cigarettes in one place. I thought it was a great show. It was a smoke and strobe light fest. If anyone has ever heard the old CONCERT album they put out, then you'll know what the music was like (it was the same tour). I thought they were great up to THE HEAD ON THE DOOR. After that, I lost interest.

You're welcome, Chris! It's a nice set. I had the older versions of the albums in it, and the new versions blow them away.

I think the list price is around $75. I got mine for $59.

Some of those Leo Lab titles are dreadful IMO - $3.99 is too much. I've got a stack of them.

or sell it to someone on the board..... or ebay. There's no way to get stuck with a Mosaic! Errr... except for that Four Freshmen box (and, possibly, the Duke Pearson Select).

Take 5, Watch out for Wesbed. I think he's a shill for Mosaic. If they paid him a commission for the sets he's helped to sell, he'd be loaded.

Lately, when I order a Mosaic set, I've been trying to order something from the Nessa catalog. So far, I've got the Art Ensemble box, Warne Marsh, both Roscoe Mitchell's, and the Fred Anderson. I have been digging them all! Especially Snurdy and All Music. I'm waiting for the Air title that will arrive next week.
