I hear ya, Lon. For me it's a sister-in-law who is the sister I never had, advanced ovarian Ca. We recently had some good news about what we thought was a metastasis that actually was not, but the roller coaster chemo ride continues. I understand more than you know how it's hard to hope thoroughly and convincingly. But we keep on, one day at a time. You and Mrs. Jazzbo are in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow....I wonder how/if this will affect his current status. He could have possibly been one of the highest paid free agents out there, but this could change things for him. Yes, it is a beautiful thing. Monday is my hero. She's gorgeous, vibrant, full of life and creative energy and then some. And she's over 40. As she says on her myspace page, she is " a nice ripe age" but feels she is "still an egg just getting ready to hatch." Couldn't say it better for myself...

I loved it, although I always love the first four hours. We'll see where this takes us. I, too, wondered about the lack of military/police/security in the subway. Given the racial profiling theme of the episode, it seemed odd that folks could enter the subway and just mill about as usual, especially 2 middle eastern young men with big attache cases. Of course, I'm a girl so I would love this moment: Jack finally is home after not speaking for 2 years and enduring horrific Chinese torture because of it, only to be told that the reason he's been released is to be murdered. His first word in 2 years is ...."Audrey".
