  1. Yeah, wasn’t expecting to find it. The same shop also had a Rendell/Carr ‘Dusk Fire’ at just less than £500. Not sure what condition it is in..
  2. We should get jobs as Mosaic sales assistants..
  3. I’ll be stalking out my local store for these on ‘The Day’, for once. Usually don’t bother with RSD.
  4. The Turrentine set is excellent - really nice selection of ‘sessions worthy of a higher profile’.
  5. Todays nice find for around a tenner - not a mint copy but really excellent sonics, phenomenal really considering this came out in 1957. RVG in the runout, of course.
  6. Just received an email from Mosaic to say that the Turrentine set is back in stock and to confirm forthcoming releases for the Wilson and Savory sets.
  7. Bluenotesound has been selling some vinyl test pressings of the recent LP sets in the last month or so, so not totally surprised by this notification. Wish I could be at the open house.
  8. There were rumours at one stage that it was going to be put out on CD (BGO?) but nothing as yet.
  9. Yes, went straight to that site to check. Ace !
  10. Sam Rivers motherload.... including Sizzle !
  11. Working my way through this box set.
  12. A real friend to jazz - RIP.
  13. Also the recording at Ronnie Scotts which was planned as a 2LP set by UK CBS and never put out. Around the same time.
  14. Very nice, congrats. Never heard the VPI but have heard very good things about them. I use one of their RCMs and it is built like a tank, great quality. Had great fun listening to the Linn this afternoon amidst the blizzards. Best thing to ever come out of Scotland.. Adding a Radikal to LP12 really helped with the speed changes. Doesn’t do 78rpm though.
  15. CBC is a strange hybrid of state funded broadcaster and advertising-funded station. When living there it was a pleasure not to have to pay a licence fee as per BBC - having said that, they were funded out of direct taxation. Lack of licence fee income at a time of lower advertising revenues is probably now forcing some hard choices however.
  16. What turntable did you get?
