  1. I have a copy of the Vogue/Swing 10 inch LP version - credited to one ‘Theolonious Monk’.
  2. CD2 ‘Jazzhattan Suite’. Always a pleasure to see board member Brownie’s photo in the booklet of that unique Central Park concert, 1967.
  3. CD6. Prokofiev eat your heart out..
  4. Robert Stack Pip Pyle Uriah Heap
  5. The only Black Friday I associate with Mosaic is the day all those sets got pulled without warning.
  6. I remember seeing P J Perry and his Quartet at the Yardbird Suite. Tommy Banks was sitting in I think.
  7. I will be buying a CD copy of this. As well as being curious about the music, I want to read Clifford’s liner notes !

  12. Happy Birthday !
  13. Today’s Oxfam purchase. Good stuff.
  14. Nice report, thanks for that. Sorry to hear of Pharoah’s mobility problems but a miracle that he is still appearing at LJF, to be honest. I miss the days of old at the LJF when the headliners were the likes of Andrew Hill, George Russell, Gerald Wilson. In fact I was listening to Russell’s 80th Birthday Concert from back in 2003 last night. First time I’ve heard it since I was there for the London bit of the recording. Nice to be reminded of the massive standing ovation that night after ‘So What’ with Mr Russell doing a jig on the stage, memorable !
  15. Have been dabbling in this stuff on Spotify today. Eberhard Weber ‘Colours’ - nice.
  16. Have been listening to it on Spotify so first time for me. It is pretty good, very well recorded. Exactly what you would expect from prime Cedar and Higgins, Senatore fits in fine. I will buy this CD I think.
  17. I’ve got ‘Capra Black’ on vinyl and always thought it sounded fine. The German CD is a bit two-dimensional in sound though. I’ll dig it out later.
