The Isle of Wight concert is remastered and I think it's from a better source. The deluxe package is going to be more than I want to spend, but I'm interested in the two CD version.
  5. Oh, no, that's sad. My wife studied with her.
  6. I saw him twice in Philly at the Kimmel Center and he fine. Even made a joke about his old music teacher. (Her house where he took lessons was located where the stage of the Kimmel Center main hall is.)

  12. A good one, with Derek Bailey in the band - and not available in full on CD. Part of it is on the CD reissue of Saxophone Special, but I think that's all that's out there on CD. There were two other tracks on the LP, "The Crust". One full track and one partial track are on Derek Bailey's "Fairly Early With Postscripts" (Emanem 4027 CD)
  13. The Complete Capitol Recordings of the Nat King Cole Trio - disc 1
  14. Elaine Watts and the Summer Sounds Pop Band this morning at the Bala Cywnyd Independence Day Celebration.
  15. Both George and Ira Gershwin produced some skilled paintings. Self portrait.
  16. Beautiful. Congratulations!
  17. I hope there will be a recording or broadcast.
  18. Enjoyable books. I read a batch of the a couple years ago. I think I have a few I haven't read yet. I think I'll pull a couple out for Summer reading. By the way, did you notice that the cover you posted is off by over 1000 years? The stories supposedly take place around 660-680 A.D.
  19. Perhaps Ran Blake's "Film Noir" LP would fit.
  20. Planning to stop by Princeton Record Exchange today.
