  1. A partial set (discs 1,3&4) is still available from Mosaic...and you get a booklet numbered XXXX.
  2. Good thing their shipping charge to my area is way too expensive...

    Frog Records

I have several titles, acquired as new, with poorly cropped booklets and which look like they were produced from a deskjet colour printer. The discs on both sides are in quite poor shape too but playable. These are their earlier releases though - the more recent ones that I have are top notch quality.
  4. Glad to hear many of the N.O musicians are safe. Wonder if GHB/Jazzology's founder George H Buck Jr is ok. Hope this doesn't put a major dent in the label's operations (of course that's a minor concern at this point).

    Fantasy records

Fantasy releases are a staple in my jazz-listening diet. There's such a wide variety of styles available under the various labels and, of about 500+ discs I've heard, only 2 have been disappointments. It's been 8 years of accumulating Fantasy titles and I'm still buying like crazy today. Like the others have said, please please keep the entire catalogue, or at least a large chunk of it, in print. And do keep the new reissues coming. btw - I'm from the other side of the pond (Asia) and know half a dozen jazz fans who have the same positive sentiments on Fantasy releases.
  6. The complete sessionagraphy for The Complete CBS Recordings of Eddie Condon (Mosaic #152) can be viewed at: http://www.mosaicrecords.com/discography.a...umber=152-MR-LP. The information provided is for the LP set, though, and I have no idea if the ordering for the CD was changed, so be diligent in your comparison. ← Thanks, I'd already made the comparison. Wasn't clear in my earlier post - based on the LP listing, there are some duplications, but, there would also be some songs plus alternates not on the Collectables. This is assuming the material on LPs #5-7 are on discs 4&5.
  7. Does anyone have the CD track listing for the Eddie Condon CBS set? I'm considering getting a partial set (discs #4 & 5) from Mosaic but would like to avoid too many duplications with the Collectables discs, which would be the case if the LP discography is anything to go by. Thanks!!
  8. I haven't got a single Duke on LP.
  9. Sam Rivers I'll part with a set if offered a .999 fine 1 oz gold coin a disc.
  10. I guess EKE BBB has at least 176 discs...
  11. Albert Nicholas
  12. V.nice pics! In Zurich With Count Basie
  13. Mid next month Curtis Amy, Chambers, Reece, Brookmeyer, Patton Select Woody Herman, Donaldson, Farmer/Golson & partial Condon CBS (CD). Optimise shipping per disc.
  14. Grabbing/grabbed a number of the Storyvilles plus Jackie McLean's Rites of Passage. Just yesterday, I made a pledge not to buy any more stuff for at least 3 months. -_-
  15. Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis and Shirley Scott "Cookbooks".
  16. Thanks EKE for the link. I only listened to the '99 set once and decided I couldn't go through that noise again, great concert notwithstanding. Now, the Definitive looks tempting.

    *** Lee Wiley ***

Lee Wiley is one singer whom I haven't quite warmed up to particularly on her own dates. I much prefer her occasional appearances on Condon's Town Hall concerts. Perhaps her style of singing is a bit much for me in larger doses. But she does well on the songbooks plus there is solid backing from the Condon gang. There are 2 Audiophile releases (Rodgers & Hart/Harold Arlen, Gershwin/Porter): These are lates 80s/early 90s remasterings so the sound quality IMO is not top notch but listenable.
