  1. Well, I noticed today amazon has lowered the price considerably on the 22nd volume, and there are marketplace sellers offering at even lower prices.
  2. Pops says leave it all behind you. Now listening to the very good sounding "Special RVG Edition" lp facsimile from Japan.
  3. Newly released mono SACD.
  4. Didn't see it til RT pointed it out, went to my profile page and it shows up in Activity, not in private messaging.
  5. Interesting. . . seems as if that's a PM to me, but it's not one that I have received! Checked my profile page and there that message was, I guess it was a profile status post? Anyway I responded to Jeff. . . . Who knows, that may show up on your phone. Don't know why that's happening. I don't have (or want) a phone with an internet access plan so I can't see if these things are showing up. . . .
  6. No, in fact they've been surprisingly cheap in the recent past. Ah well!
  7. Yes, I ordered both these new cds from Jazz Messengers and they are en route. Wasn't about to pay the amazon prices.
  8. Yes. . . though I might try to claim this was a wax stature of Basie!
  9. Now on to this beautiful sounding Warner Japan cd of this Roulette Records Basie. Wow. Hadn't heard this in a long time (I have it on the Basie Roulette Studio Mosaic set as well).
  10. I share your appreciation, he does really nice mastering. Haven't seen his name on anything for a while. . . .
  11. That's a great price an a great set. Music and sound top-notch.
  12. The Jaspar and Wilen are in the Vogue box. I really like the Burrell, it's good. The Previn i haven't heard. . . I may order it. . . I'm not that much of a Previn fan but I like the reset of the quartet.
  13. Lots of these are in the Sony box sets of Vogue Records. . . . Great stuff in this series, and the first batch had excellent sound.
  14. I think it's an outer box that is made to hold all the Japanese Impulse reissues from a certain series. . . .
  15. Louis Armstrong Hot Fives and Sevens, Columbia Bix Restored! (Especially the first volume) George Russell Black Saint and Soul Note John Coltrane Heavyweight Champion
  16. I have never seen the film, but that's okay, I'm not much of a film guy, but I really enjoy the Delacorta novels.
  17. I bet they'll be out of stock tomorrow!
  18. I also got a shipping confirmation. I ordered this, the Byas, and the two new Storyville Ellington releases.
  19. New Jaco Pastorius release coming soon from the folks at Resonance Records:http://www.resonancerecords.org/release.php?cat=HCD-2027
  20. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amon_Düül
  21. I'm enjoying it. I think I know what's going on, and I love the cinematography and the writing (enjoyed both seasons of Fargo from the same show-runner). And it has Aubrey Plaza in it and she's well presented. . . I think that girl is a big talent.
  22. The CVT. . . because I need AWD here. My wife has a Juke SV and it was how well the AWD does in the winter that made me really consider the Juke. I also really like the AWD Vector mode, it really is a handling enhancer. If I weren't living in a lake effect snow belt I'd have the six speed. . . but the CVT is pretty darned good.
  23. I have Apple laptops, I love them, been using Apple computers at home since the mid-nineties. I have an iPod but I gave up using it. . . I actually enjoy NOT having music on the go, I really don't like the sound quality and I prefer to listen to my system at home, makes me appreciate music more this way. It's only the last few years I've had a car (was a motorcycle only guy for a few decades before moving back to Ohio) and so I'm really not used to music while driving. . . but I do enjoy the sound system in my Juke (it's the better of the two systems they put in these). It has a USB inlet but I'm not interested in using it. Realistically I have to see that "convenience" drives a lot of users and products in the audio world this century. . . but "convenience" isn't something that I really look for or revel in. I still like the inconvenient ways of cd and vinyl usage. Just suits me, I know that others have moved way beyond that. . . .
  24. I can see how it would be so convenient to use a phone and blue-tooth. . . .But I guess I actually prefer inconvenience. I'm retired, I enjoy all my discs and don't do files or stream. I don't have any music on a phone and have the cheapest plan I can get with a very basic phone as I don't use one for business and don't really like phones, and I'm so glad that the car I bought last summer (Nissan Juke NISMO) has a cd player; I really enjoy selecting a few discs to take with me on trips to my Dad's and back (not quite three hours round trip) and I also listen to the great listener supported classical radio station here in the Cleveland area a lot.
  25. Legion on FX and the final season of Person of Interest on Blu-ray.
