  1. Mine came about an hour ago as well! Not getting to listen to it yet. . .but so glad to have it. Storyville is making good on this series.
  2. These are remastered by Alan Yoshida from great tapes, possibly transfers of the original tapes (there is some speculation that the tape sources are the 24/192 tapes that Bernie Grundman has been transferring for Blue Note and have been used for some US releases of late and hi-res files for sale). I have bought about fifteen over the last few years and each sounds excellent.
  3. Sale. http://www.elusivedisc.com/Audio-Wave-Music-Blue-Note-XRCD24/products/1513/
  4. Watched the exceptional Season 3 of Black Sails on Blu-ray Watched Game of Thrones Season 6 on Blu-ray Watched The Expanse on DVD (looks like Blu-ray with excellent upscaling) Watching X-Files Season 2 on Blu-ray (amazes me how well-done and beautiful appearing and sounding these X-Files seasons look on Blu-ray)
  5. You might try querying Zev Feldman on his Facebook page. . . .
  6. Merry Christmas to all! I don't spend the time here I used to but I value this forum and wish you all the best in the coming year.
  7. Amazon delayed my order til then as well.
  8. Me too! (Even though I have this material on French CBS LPs and CDs)!

    Yes

Squire fans should check out the Steve Wilson remixes if you haven't. I only listen to the 2 channel, but Wilson really brings out the beauty of Squire's playing especially, and on the whole these new versions are great windows into the music. Tales from Topographic Oceans especially is well-presented, Squire is very richly portrayed. I bought the Blu-ray editions of all released so far.

Amazing band. For me I like their works up through Tormato. Bruford and Howe were big draws for me, White did okay and to be honest I haven't really liked Bruford AFTER Yes. Saw them several times. Been enjoying the '72 tour box.
  11. Many collectors still like to have low numbers though in fact it makes no real sonic difference today in digital releases. For the last decade or so Mosaic has said that there is not particular reason to the numbering, that they are not sent out sequentially. Still no one gets 3334 right out of the gate, I think they press these 500 or so at a time (?)
  12. I got mine Saturday, from ebay . . . but haven't been able to open it yet, been a busy time including our family gift exchange as my sister is up from Virginia and won't be here past today. So I got to give my Dad the German edition of the Mozart 225 box set from Universal. He was overjoyed and moved!
  13. I have the same situation. As I don't keep my discs in the box this isn't a real problem for me, but it would be if not. . . . I think there was an error somewhere in the packaging, perhaps originally it was going to be eight cds in four cases and single slim line double and something changed. . . and wasn't corrected. Mosaic may be able to help correct that in time.
  14. I have the new set but have only so far listened to the first disc, several times. Excellent sound! On the Hoffman board a member named Kevin55 posted this:
  15. I just got my copy in today. . . probably won't listen to it til next week though, as I listen a lot less on the weekends.
  16. Au contraire, there's a thread. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?/topic/61039-kenny-dorham-the-flamboyan-queens-ny-1963/#comment-1051424
  17. Good news, my wife is happy.
  18. Yes, and lots of nice KD, Bud, and others as well on that disc. Great box set.
  19. Not playing, but just wrapped a copy of the German edition of Mozart 225 for my Dad, his Xmas gift. He's going to be very happy!

    Bob Dylan corner

    Thanks for posting that.
  21. They played on and did production on his album (at least one), and he played around with reggae beats for a while, so I don't think it's that out of character. . . .
  22. Tips for the waitresses.
