Enjoyed a special premier of Falling Water. It's a bit lightweight but also interesting in the LOST category, I think I'll follow it when it starts in a few weeks. Finished watching Arrow, Season 4 on Blu-ray and am now watching Flash, Season 2. I love escaping into these shows, they work for me, brining out the adolescent in me that is always just below the surface, and feeding him so that he can survive til the next time. I've also enjoyed the first two weeks of Project Runway because my wife loves it so. It's great to share her joy that a new season is unfolding. I learn a lot sharing what fascinates and energizes her.

The intensity is so well communicated with Trane. And oddly I find it calming for me when I have the time to focus on the music. I can ride the intensity, the flow of ideas and I'm really taken away. This man's dedication and propulsive drive are alien to me. I've never been able to be that committed to anything other than loving a woman. But I can understand it in that way. On those occasions when I can immerse myself in the most intense of the work I come out of it changed in little ways. For the better for the most part, though I confess there are times when I feel as if I was assaulted with a lot of pain through the music, but even that is cathartic. I guess the bottom line is that I wouldn't change any of the trajectory of Trane's flight.

That's correct, 48 shows were released on LP. I think that was all of them.

Nah as far as I can tell the exchange rate has gone up about 3 percent in favor of Japan. These are expensive because they are first issue SHM-CD in lp facsimile edition, they are always more expensive. These MAY get reissued in jewel case in a budget reissue later. . . considerably later. . . or may not.

I do live in the country now, with hundreds of acres of a sate nature preserve in front of me, if I look out one window just right I can see a neighbor, and there's a lake half a mile away. I don't do music on phone, iPod, iPad, etc. and don't run into many who do, haven't been annoyed. I'm lucky and I know it.

I think this was a labor of love project for Mr. Cuscuna, and I think he managed to make the deal for the entire 7500 without time limit and he's going to sell every one. I bet they're getting close to that goal.

The Konitz is excellent imo. Variatone use is quite well-handled, different from the way Eddie Harris or John Klemmer etc. use the device. I really like it. The Solal is interesting. A bit more straight forward than some of his European work in some ways, certainly than his later work. The Orchestra USA I like a lot. The material doesn't bother me, so there's that, and the arrangements and playing are great. I didn't buy the Grolnick, that and the Rollins are I think the only ones I didn't buy in this series. They can be had very cheap. The sound is excellent on all those I have.

Actually, each of these are reissues of earlier cds that were released in Europe and feature the same mastering etc. They sound very nice and are very well priced.

Finished watching "Gotham" Season 2 on Blu-ray, started "Arrow" Season 3 on blu-ray. Feel a comic book show jag coming on.
