  1. Pretty well sums up my position too. I've paid for downloads, but not at all lately. Going to continue seeking out discs, just don't like mixing my computer with audio, don't do "music on the go," etc. Lately I mainly use amazon US and fr and de for new (I have prime) and amazon, half.com or ebay for used, and I confess I use Dusty Groove a lot, those bast'ds.
  2. Sorry, there was one on an ebay link from google shopping I found that has sold and is now featuring the 5 LP European vinyl edition. And other copies of that set for sale.
  3. There are several sets currently on ebay . . . .
  4. The box set is shipping.
  5. Sad news indeed. Thanks for all the music Butch.
  6. Many happy happy returns!
  7. Allen, have a wonderful day!
  8. Many many happy returns!
  9. Have a wonderful day!
  10. And that's the truth.
  11. Okay. Don't sound that way on my system. Guess I'm lucky!
  12. To be honest, all those I have sound really good, to me, on my system.
  13. Have a wonderful day!
  14. The Japanese items that I have bought from this series have also been in "flimsy" jewel cases. Printing hasn't been quite up to the standards of other Japanese series. Mine came from Japan.
  15. Personally I like it, features the sweet honey bee quite well. Good album also.
  16. Cool, thanks for the info.
  17. Very good album. . .was this ever released in the Savoy/Denon series? Never saw it, tried to get every one of those possible. I know one of the European PD labels put it out in a multi disc set. . . .
  18. Scandal, Season 2.
  19. Many happy hip returns!
  20. And when you're ready. . .there's fantastic music in the 'thirties!
  21. I can see that, but it's the only one of the eight that they need to do that with it, and I trust Wilder to do a good job of it, and I'm looking forward to the set, I like these albums and can enjoy hearing those I've not heard before in mono.
  22. It's all the rage apparently in the Negative Zone.
  23. Yes, I agree. Here's the link: http://www.stereophile.com/thefifthelement/206fifth/ From this link, this promising (at least to me) excerpt, a quote from Mike Fremmer: "The reissue's mix down from three tracks to one has been so skillfully and carefully done, even veteran mono KOB listeners might have difficulty guessing the source were that the only criterion. However, compared to my later "6-eye" 1AJ pressing, the reissue sounds far less "milky-cloudy" and far more transparent to the source, without veering off into the analytical. You can 'see' further into the mix and hear a clear delineation of direct and echo chamber sound as well as what sounds like 30th street studio room sound. Instrumental timbres are natural and textures rich."
  24. Wow. This is a great box set.
