  1. I wouldn't hesitate.
  2. The tune "Bridges" by Nascimento performed by Monday Michiru with vocal assistance by Ed Motta on "Soulception." The whole album is a wonderful listen, but that one performance really gets me, and especially for some reason this week. I love Monday, and I love Ed. Great singers (and writers).
  3. I still don't see why Columbia/Sony and the estate haven't released these 'fifties and early 'sixties live recordings, what a missed opportunity.
  4. Mono. One of the very first lps I've ever owned, a gift from one of the Peace Corps volunteers my father directed in Swaziland, and a killer lp.
  5. Wild new season ahead!
  6. I had a friend in the 'seventies with one like that, worked great but it was a dry cleaner, and will keep clean record clean, won't do a lot for dirty records that really need a wet cleaning. It's worthwhile to keep clean records clean and at the price it is a good deal.
  7. Contrabass violin.
  8. Happy Birthday Cris, and many happy returns! Tell us how it was!
  9. Many many more happy returns!
  10. Re-reading my Dad's second biography, a fascinating read about an important little-known American. On top of that, my Dad writes wonderful prose.
  11. Last night's "Raising Hope": Throw Maw Maw from the House, Part 2. Hilarious.
  12. It's okay. Terribly compressed sound, that's my biggest beef, just doesn't sound right to me.
  13. It has been. It was best on a two cd RCA "Jazz Tribune" release, there was also a Fresh Sound, and probably other gray market releases. I think there is not an official version in print at the moment.
  14. Pat Metheny guitar sounds, especially if you're not Pat.
  15. Many many happy returns!
  16. Many many happy returns Reiner!
  17. That should be decipherable via the discography page of the Mosaic set. The short answer is that if you like this Ducal period, not enough.
  18. Last night's Fringe. I thought it was great when they went through the hatch, looking for that Rambaldi artifact and then got to that Star Trek archive planet, and . . . . Was a lot of fun.
  19. "It's a Sin to Tell A Lie" . . . . Not sure why it's in French, I don't recollect Billie singing in French.
  20. It is the truth. Too bad, as I love Kreuk's voice!
  21. Started watching "Magic City" on Blu-ray. Not bad. Lots of beauty. Speaking of which I'm watching the premier of "Beauty and the Beast" on CW just because Kristen Kreuk is the star. Lovely woman. Not a great show.
