I don't believe that "Number One" is on this reissue. It's not listed on any of the major selling sites. And as Flurin notes, it was not on the corresponding cd in the Impulse Album Collection box set.

I'd be very surprised if Manifestations were 24 minutes long on this cd! I think that's a listing error, I'd love to bre wrong. I sure hope they corrected that track error on Transition. If anyone finds they have please let us know, I'll buy the new cd. I can't get a response any longer concerning this from my previously responsive Verve person.

Yeah, I know the point, that was just an aside. And I agree with Larry that Stephanie is hot enough. Give me a warm and understanding gal with some life-experience and I'll find that adds a lot of hotness to the equation. Sexist site? Of course it is. So is the Sexiest Album Thread. So what?

As a former Progressive employee (worked three.five months last year) I avoid her commercials. Nothing against Stephanie, or Progressive itself really, I just was too saturated with her there and with silly questions or comments about her from customers.

This is good advice. There are those distinct periods, and that's a good way to explore BIllie's work. Odds are if you enjoy one of these sets you'll enjoy them all. From an audiophile standpoint there are possibly better choices, but I personally haven't been disappointed by these sets in any significant way and I have them all. Recently I picked up the Hip-O Select Commodore and Decca Master sets and that is a very nice set. May be a nice introduction unless you are quite familiar with 'thirties jazz.

I think the answer to the first is "no." And I have contacted camjazz successfully several times via the "Contact Us" link on their home page.

Sorry for this experience L. Damn. USPS messed up. The 30 day rule is USPS's and Worlds can't get any refund til after that period of time (plus however long USPS takes to investigate and refund, some considerable time I bet). Hope the order arrives soon.

Now Wait for Last Year is a fun one. I agree, Dick seems to be adapting to the Post-Dickian world quite well, blending into the cracks and still making meaningful quips.

I can't answer that, as I have never bought any of the "Originals" having bought all the box sets. The packaging of all of the discs in the box set say "Originals", even the last two volumes, which are in much less attractive, less well-printed jewel case packaging. I would be very surprised if these remasterings differed from the separate "Originals," as why would they go to that expense or trouble? They're not the same as the "pre-original" digipak and jewel case releases, that is true.

After the first volume, all discs were remastered by Kevin Reeves, and when I have been able to compare are the same masterings as contemporary Japanese reissues. I don't know what type of packaging these new ones will sport. If they're digipaks I'll be a bit peeved.

Finished this today. A show that I enjoy, just fun and breezy. Thought the "Stephentology" religion in the last few episodes was funny.

I did buy this set when Popmarket.com had it on sale a bit agol The only bonus tracks are the very few that were released on previous legacy editions. Great sound though to this set. Looking forward to the "live" box set that it's rumored is to be done.
