  1. Happy holidays Dmitry! Hope you have a great year ahead!
  2. Many happy happy returns! It's been a "happy birthday conscious" week for me, as my girlfriend's birthday was yesterday, and my Mom's birthday is today.
  3. Great music! Great set! And, I can say from personal experience, GREAT SELLER! Don't hesitate to buy from Brad.
  4. Thanks!
  5. I didn't notice the book. Good show, nice touch.
  6. I understand Chuck, but remember that interest and information about you is a doorway to more attention and interest in the artists. And I know you value that.
  7. I agree. The sound is quite good!
  8. I got the Mozart pic. Said "Huh?" Thought a sec. Did a google search for "Chuck Nessa 2010" and that was the third hit. Posted "Wow!" I'll take your word for it that the Mozart deserves the "Wow."
  9. What I actually said was "Wow!" I think it's warranted.
  10. Many many happy happy returns David1
  11. Many many happy returns!
  12. Never heard of that before. Sounds as if it was assembled wrong at the factory or something like that. . . .May have only been that one copy? At least with Amazon. . . you've got a replacement on the way.
  13. Disc 4 of this set is where the swinging really gets deep. . . .
  14. Awesome Allen! It's always great to get a shot in the arm when you really need it.
  15. Happy Birthday! Many more!
  16. One of the few Texas legends of the tenor that I've seen. When I saw him he had the great drum support of Organissimo member agriffith, and a teen-age prodigy at the keyboards. A night I'll never forget! Have three of his recordings. Need to play them more.
  17. Didn't seem to be a different box to me, but there was plenty of bubble wrap; everyhting looked really okay when it got here.
  18. Sound so far is crisp and clear. Seems less processed in a quick comparison to some of the same material in the four cd set released in Europe within the last few years, "The Best of Duke Ellington." (The material in that four cd set sounds very good, a bit warmer than on the Mosaic, but I have the sense that there's been more EQ applied; the mastering credits are significantly different.) This is great music that it's such a gas to visit and revisit! Today I feel so dicty!
  19. Just got #567. Good-looking set indeed.
  20. I had been in Austin only a few months and my girlfriend had recently arrived from Ohio and things were always interesting. That day I was working in a sign shop and each customer that came in seemed to have to talk about it. I didn't have a really personal reaction as I've never been a big Beatles fan, and even though John was probably my favorite, it didn't really hit home to me HARD. Over time as I've learned more about Lennon during his final decade, I began to realize what a loss this was. And I can understand why this meant MORE to some others. What's hard to believe is that it's been thirty years. When I think back, it doesn't feel like thirty years. In some ways, the time, my whole life in Austin, has gone by so quickly. And yet the time is cram full of events and feelings and . . .stuff.
  21. Many many happy returns!
  22. Welcome Jazz Nut! I share your admiration for Hodges' skill and artistry. What a player!
  23. That's good "news."
  24. Many many happy returns my friend!
