Al you may be saying it and hearing it. . . but I don't. I've bought every RVG and I've compared many to the McMaster editions and they don't sound like the same transfers to me at all. They seem fundamentally different than just eq'd "knob tweaked" same transfers. I know a little bit about recording, did some of my own, I'm not an expert but I don't agree with your hypothesis. This is unfortunate this error, agreed. They'll fix it, and replace it at no cost to the customer, I believe that. I actually like the sound of this version, and I have other versions to listen to until they get it right.

The solo tracks are not included in the box set. I've had this box set since it was released I think, or shortly thereafter. A true cornucopia. Variety and so many great sessions.

I can relate to that. I've only seen her once, in a football halftime show. I have no idea who was playing, who won, or even if it was pro or college, but I remember her... She's an awesomely beautiful woman, and as far as I can tell a nice one. When I spent a few years in and out of Houston I saw how important she was there as a "homegirl." They love her there.

I like the Sony sound too. Claude, all I will say is that every Blu-Ray player I've seen (six so far, two of mine, four elsewhere) upconverts dvds and they look fabulous. I think its foolish to buy a dvd player at this time, withi Blu-Ray bursting onto the scene, and setting up camp to stay.

Yes, American Beat (UK) has released three cds of Aretha Columbia material with two lps on each cd. Yeah is paired with Runnin' out of Fools on one. I believe that in the nineties CBS France had this out on cd as well. Great album!

Agree with you. My vinyl of these is not quiet. . . so the cd is welcome. But I have to return my copy, tones of skipping on the second half.
