  1. Right, Bethlehem, with Danny Richmond on drums, great session! Nichols was one of a kind. If only we had him a few more decades!
  2. Happy birthday!
  3. yes of course this is a cure for everything! Yes, it helps healing. The only time I lost my voice. . .I had a bad throat infection and it took a few weeks of antibiotics to get past! And of course I waited far too long to go in for care. If your throat isn't CONSIDERABLY better early next week, call the doctor.
  4. Hope you can get out of that Martian Time Slip and get back here! Many many more happy happy returns!
  5. I have a 60 iPod but I really only use about 30 at a time and I'm always taking things on and off. . . .
  6. Gene Ludwig and his wife (?) have posted here. . . .
  7. Could be almost anything. And oh yeah, no beer in hand.

The mono versions that differ from the stereo versions are all here (I've had these for some time thanks to the Jazz Sheriff, Andrew Griffith) and two other tunes recorded at the sessions. Restores the original cover. Excellent reissue in every way. Darn it.
  10. My favorites of the Coltrane Atlantics I've heard are the cds in the Heavyweight Champion box set.
  11. We'll never see "Trainwreck" while Cuscuna is at the helm. Never. I'd like to see "and now for something completely different": music from the first fifteen years, especially Hodes.
  12. Yes, even with the overdubs.
  13. It could happen. It happened to me. Now Evans is one of my very favorites. (Everything happens to me!)
  14. Check out half.com
  15. Wow, watching "The Story of India" on PBS. EXCELLENT.
  16. Right, there was nothing wrong with Season Four, there were some very funny episodes. Now, "Bionic Woman" (the 21st century version).
  17. Good point. I don't have cable. I use the antenna mounted on my roof. Always have had a very good picture, but with HD. . . wow.
