  1. Hope you can get out of that Martian Time Slip and get back here! Many many more happy happy returns!
  2. I have a 60 iPod but I really only use about 30 at a time and I'm always taking things on and off. . . .
  3. Gene Ludwig and his wife (?) have posted here. . . .
  4. Could be almost anything. And oh yeah, no beer in hand.
  5. It was. Right now, my very first Mosaic set: the Blakey and Jazz Messengers.

The mono versions that differ from the stereo versions are all here (I've had these for some time thanks to the Jazz Sheriff, Andrew Griffith) and two other tunes recorded at the sessions. Restores the original cover. Excellent reissue in every way. Darn it.
  7. My favorites of the Coltrane Atlantics I've heard are the cds in the Heavyweight Champion box set.
  8. We'll never see "Trainwreck" while Cuscuna is at the helm. Never. I'd like to see "and now for something completely different": music from the first fifteen years, especially Hodes.
  9. Yes, even with the overdubs.
  10. It could happen. It happened to me. Now Evans is one of my very favorites. (Everything happens to me!)
  11. Check out half.com
  12. Wow, watching "The Story of India" on PBS. EXCELLENT.
  13. Right, there was nothing wrong with Season Four, there were some very funny episodes. Now, "Bionic Woman" (the 21st century version).
  14. Good point. I don't have cable. I use the antenna mounted on my roof. Always have had a very good picture, but with HD. . . wow.

    The back cover shows it's Charly's "Affinity" label. . . .
  16. The Tyler is going to be great! Thanks Chuck!
  17. Serenity, on Blu-Ray. Wow. This transfer is amazing on this excellent format. The sound is also just spectacular.
  18. They've done a really nice job with it too!
  19. Bitches Brew. Even at that time I could have contributed a bit of percussion, my south African berimbau-like instrument. . . or connected my Ethiopian kalimba to the echoplex. . .
  20. I have two Sony Bravia tvs, one in the living room (32") and one in the bedroom (26"). The bedroom tv may be the same as Matthew's, it was about the same price. I'm entirely satisfied with both tvs and would recommend them highly. The sound is excellent from these (for the money)--both via their speakers and through the stereo system.
