Not to mention that despite all the "USA USA USA"-ness of the ad, Chrysler is owned by Fiat.

Bob looks like he's had a fair amount of "work" done (or at least some Botox injections).
  3. Amazon US now has pre-order on this for $41.44. I went ahead and placed it. If it comes further down before release they will give you the lower price, too.

  6. Congrats on the new acquisition, Lon! Looks like you got a real winner! Sometimes it's worth it to pay up for something you know will improve your joy of playing. I was surprised at the prices of his guitars - MUCH more reasonably priced than I would have guessed considering the workmanship that obviously goes into each one.
  7. Same here. I don't change strings as often as I should, but am always amazed how much better the guitar sounds after I do. ... maybe I'll do that TODAY!
  8. I picked up the 'stereo' box of UK releases a few years ago, and that's more than enough for me. I grew up listening to the American versions ("Rubber Soul" might have been my first record), but with one exception I'm not desperate to hear those versions again. I DO want to get the US version of "Help." The incidental music was an integral part of the album for me, and I probably haven't heard that stuff in about 40 years. I have a friend who's a Beatles collector, so anything I need to know or hear I can get from him. He buys EVERYthing!
  9. Jazz drummer, DJ Bud Spangler dies at 74
  10. RIP, Bud. Definitely a Bay Area institution.
  11. That IS a great deal. I might have to spring for it.
  12. Hey, David - have a GREAT b-day! (in 7/4 time, of course)
  13. Now THAT'S probably worth getting! You can hear some of it on the Amazon page HERE.
  14. eMusic Ben Allison The Stars Look Very Different Today $3.92 Yusef Lateef The Blue Yusef Lateef $3.92
  15. Charles was the opening act at the first jazz concert I ever went to - 11/20/71 at UC Santa Barbara. The headliner was Freddie Hubbard w/Junior Cook, Geo Cables, Alex Blake, Lenny White I don't know who was in his band at the time, but it was a little before "Waves" was released.
  16. Heeeeeeeeeeere's Bill!
  17. Here's video. Unfortunately it doesn't include the O'Reilly tribute section.
  18. O'Reilly was actually good - shocking, huh? I thought the whole performance was good, too. They covered a lot of ground on a short period of time. Of course seeing Chick, Dave, Jack, Terrence and Wayne together was awesome.
