Joe
Supposedly forthcoming from New World Records. But the only info I can find is this screenshot a friend shared with me. Anybody here know anything more about this release? Thanks!!
clifford_thornton
Wow, that'll be great. Also can recommend Sarah Hennies' Spectral Malsconcities for those into "new music."

Hope that this isn't a tease, or, to use a Sangrey-ism, that it hasn't been PALO ALTO-ed. But Google is giving me nothing.
colinmce
My assumption is that is has something to do with this. Very interested to get some more details. https://wp.nyu.edu/library-hemphill_papers/
jcam_44
The Hemphill Papers sounds like the release of UFO documents. Either way I'm here for it.

Looks like NYU must be getting some extra funding for the Hemphill project, too. Very enticing.

colinmce
I'm definitely a fan of his solo and sax ensemble works, but I'm hoping some of those loft-era jazz groups are represented as well.

Me too as I’m most interested in those small groups with drummers from the late 70’s through the mid 80’s. Anything with Philip Wilson & Abdul Wadud, please. felser
I'm sure it's a nice set, but at a price tag north of $100 for 7 CD's, I'm out for the present.
