Any rumblings about Century Celebrations for Davis or Coltrane? Reissues, newly discovered recordings?

Ravi Coltrane and Terence Blanchard are touring with a tribute concert.  I was scheduled to see it last night in Santa Barbara but they were snowed in somewhere in the east.  (In the '70s here.)

I believe Emmet Cohen with a group is as well.

At the Big Ears Festival this year, Isaiah Collier is doing a Coltrane tribute (Collier Plays Coltrane).

At the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival this year:

Terrence Blanchard and Ravi Coltrane are doing a Coltrane and Miles Davis Centennial tribute.

The New Orleans based big band Trumpet Mafia is doing a Miles Davis tribute with guest Keyon Harold. Maurice Brown is also usually the co-leader, along with Ashlin Parker.

New Orleans based saxophonists Ricardo Pascal (Jason Marsalis trio/Mahmoud Chouki New World Ensemble), Trevarri Huffboone (Dirty Dozen Brass Band) and Derek Douget (Ellis Marsalis Quintet/ Herlin Riley Quartet/ Jason Marsalis Quintet) present Love is Supreme, A tribute to John Coltrane.

I'm guessing the Japanese market will eventually reissue a bunch of titles. I'm hoping for an album called Kind of Blue. And another rare-ish one—Blue Train.

They started by reissuing the Complete Plugged Nickel set, both in CD and vinyl, with "new liner notes and track-by-track commentary by Syd Schwartz alongside Bob Blumenthal’s original essay."

Slightly underwhelming 100th anniversary "Best Of John Coltrane" compilation from Craft featuring tracks from his Prestige LPs.

What shall they do? Everything has been out multiple times. The best they can do is keeping the fine box sets and most  important reissues available.

As a record fan it would be nice to have affordable vinyl reissues of some of the posthumous Impulse albums - Stellar Regions, Living Space, Olatunji, Offering etc.

Though I appreciate these may not be strong commercial propositions and not a good starting point if labels are hoping to attract new listeners.

l would love to see a 1975 Miles Davis Japan tour box and the rest of the Coltrane Half Note stuff ("Creation"!). Would be nice to get the Olatunji concert on vinyl, too. We're more likely to get Miles 1987 live and The Gentle Side of John Coltrane remastered by an audiophile dudebro.
