This was a 1941 song for Marshall Philippe Petain who was the infamous French state leader/collaborator during the World War II occupation of France. The song was required to be sung daily by all French schoolchildren during the nazi occupation. Few of these come close to being truly *bad* songs, and obviously any intentionally bad songs were kept off the list. Those of you with any extensive LP or CD collections will know what I'm talking about. And bubblegum - "Sugar Sugar," for example - doesn't count. That said, while I'm not sure if they're the worst to me, there are quite a number of songs on that list that I really dislike. But, really, The Doors' "The End?" That's a stone classic.
