    • You might also be unaware of the Mobile Fidelity fiasco. They have been producing hundreds of titles advertised as "straight from the analog masters", while doing the exact same "unprocessed and untweaked" transfers of the analog masters at 24/192 PCM or high sampled DSD and still calling them fully analog LPs (the old AAA). They were not. The uproar over this move continues today. There was a class action lawsuit over it, resulting in Music Direct (MoFi's parent company) settling for something like $10 Million in credits to buyers. There are a lot of unhappy buyers. Personally, I think most of the people who are really upset are just pissed because this showed that "the emperor has no clothes" when it comes to analog vs. digital. There were quite a lot of "analog can't be beat" reviewers that looked really bad when the LPs they were holding up as the best-sounding versions of certain recordings were actually processed in the digital domain. They then looked stupid when they changed their reviews to say that they thought they sounded bad because they were digitally mastered. I have zero respect for anyone who pulled this. I don't think this A/D conversion is a bad thing myself, as I am very aware of digital audio's ability to replicate the full audio spectrum, particularly when done at 24/192 (PCM) or even better when done using high sample rate DSD. It's a whole lot of noise over nothing.

    • aron! Shares Merry New EP a cozy christmas   LISTEN HERE   Featuring British Singer-Songwriter Hohnen Ford On A Special Christmas Version of aron!’s “cozy you”   “cozy you (christmas)” | Watch Lyric Video Here "On his oh-so-enjoyable EP “cozy you (and other nice songs)” (out June 6), the young crooner transports us to a bygone era where love is everywhere." -LA Times   “In an era dominated by maximalist pop, aron! feels like a quiet little reawakening for jazz lovers and soft hearts alike. If every generation has its own jazz reemergence icon, maybe aron! is ours." -NYOTA     New York, NY (October 24, 2025) – Cozy pop singer-songwriter aron! returns with more snuggle by the fire vibes just in time for the holidays. His new EP, cozy you christmas is out October 24 on Verve Records. The EP includes 3 jolly new tracks by the 22-year-old artist to watch: “mother i’ll be late” an original work, aron!’s own lush arrangement of Frank Sinatra’s “mistletoe and holly,” and a special duet with his friend and fellow artist, Hohnen Ford, for a new Christmas version of “cozy you.”    “cozy you (christmas)” brings a holiday swing to the original track off aron’!’s debut EP, cozy you (and other nice songs). Listen to the cozy you christmas EP here.   Earlier this year, aron! shared his debut EP cozy you (and other nice songs). The EP is an intimate six-track introduction to aron!’s world of cozy music, providing the perfect soundtrack to fall weather, pumpkin spice lattes, and cardigan season. Listen to cozy you (and other nice songs), here, watch the lyric video for “eggs in the morning” here, and the previously released official video for “table for two,” here.   aron! has amassed millions of streams and built a loyal, dedicated following as he gears up to make his Verve Records debut. This EP is all about how everyone wants to get “cozy” sometimes — “My songs are little vignettes from my life,” he observes. “To me, ‘cozy’ is the perfect word for the vibe of this project. Hopefully, you’ll think so too!”   ABOUT ARON! Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, aron!’s mom and dad introduced him to rock icons like Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, but it was the game Guitar Hero that first made him pick up a real guitar at eight-years-old and enroll in lessons at a local music school. He eventually met an “80-year-old jazz guitar teacher at Sam Ash.” The instructor taught aron! how to read music and further inspired his passion for jazz. Maybe it was the pre-teen rebellion inside that pushed him from rock and into jazz. In high school, he also regularly played music for the residents of retirement homes, performing old classics from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra for dementia patients. “I'd put on my little bow tie and a dress shirt to make it official,” he laughs.   aron! studied classical composition at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, developing an appreciation for Chopin, Ravel, and Bach. During COVID, he dedicated himself to learning piano, waking up at 7:30am daily and exploring all that you can do with 88 keys. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Miami and majored in jazz voice and film scoring. Simultaneously, he cut his teeth live by playing dozens of shows in his indie pop band Sunny Side Up!.   In 2023, he explored what he calls “a vintage pop sound,” and started building a strong following online. Labels started to call, and he signed to Verve to further develop his brand of ‘cozy pop’ on this new EP. “It's like singer-songwriter jazz,” he goes on. “I've always resonated with the real old-school romantics. People are going through the same things now as they were back then. Heartbreak is heartbreak, and love is love. We’re all humans, and that’s what most of these songs are about.”   Once you get to know aron!, you won’t forget him. FOLLOW ARON! ABOUT HOHNEN FORD   2022 saw the release of Ford’s breakthrough single ‘Infinity’, a viral hit which led to a record deal with the legendary Giant Music. Ella has enjoyed a whirlwind few years, earning fans in Laufey, Tom Odell, and John Mayer plus major support tours with FINNEAS, Wasia Project and Orla Gartland. She has unpacked the intricacies of her creative process with esteemed multi-instrumentalist Rick Beato on YouTube, performed triumphant, sold-out headline shows across the UK and Europe, and collaborated with Birdie on ‘A Lot To Give’ – a true meeting of minds.   Ford is garnering a reputation for her unique voice. The breathless ease, emotional resonance and crystal clear tone make Ford a talent which does not come around often. She is a graduate of Jazz Voice at The Royal Academy, a gruelling course in which only one applicant is taken on per instrument per year. A huge achievement to be selected, even more so to see the course through to the end and graduate.   Earlier in the year, Hohnen Ford shared a stunning reimagined take on Chet Baker’s “I Get Along Without You Very Well” as part of a Blue Note compilation. The cover led Jazzwise to describe Ford as “A Rising Star”, with The Times calling the cover “Gorgeous and introspective”.   Along with her exceptional vocals, Ford’s work is rooted in emotional honesty and bold vulnerability. Her latest work continues to build on the textured, introspective sound that’s become her signature, proving her not just as a voice to watch, but one that’s here to stay.   FOLLOW HOHNEN FORD           # Artist and Track Title Time         1. aron! - mother i'll be late 04:02       2. aron! - mistletoe and holly 03:20       3. aron! - cozy you (christmas) 02:17
