  2. Each year, the two teams who play the most Canadians are awarded draft picks #19 and 20. This year they will go to the Elks and the Bombers. https://3downnation.com/2026/02/25/edmonton-elks-winnipeg-blue-bombers-awarded-extra-picks-in-2026-cfl-draft/ ***** Power Rankings https://pifflespodcast.com/blog/piffles-power-rankings-offseason-2026-gregs-version/ ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** Damon Allen came to my '95 Grey Cup party!
  3. I forgot about Newegg! I had good experiences with them years ago.
  4. Everything Is Everything – Just Flash In The Cosmic Pan Does anyone know the connection between this record and Terumasa Hino's Hino's Air? I read somewhere that they're the same band, but this one is obviously missing Hino, and I believe it came out on a different label so doesn't seem to just be alternative takes or something.
  5. Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section, Stereo Records 1958 pressing. Sounds great.
  6. From 3-08-2005, including a brief interview with both Marshall Allan and Henry Grimes, but otherwise mostly they're playing: https://bluelake.ncats.net/ondemand/Studio Performances-Henry Grimes and Marshall Allen-0-20050308.mp3

  9. Oh, definitely better than Phoenix. Like light years better.
  10. Grover Washington Jr - Winelight I think I could write a notional chapter of a notional book just about the growling noise that Washington makes in the chorus of the first track. Grrrnnnnrrrrur
  11. That's good. The last two times I was in the states was Chicago, which, exploration wise, is more or less like a European city, and Phoenix, which... wasn't. I'd assumed that San Diego would have been more like the latter, so that's good to know.
  12. I had forgotten this was the first RCA release by Desmond, putting him in a much different setting than a quartet setting, probably a smart move but time has proven this to be less discussed than those that followed on RCA. I like this though, and yet. . . even with Jim Hall. . . I miss the blend of Desmond and Brubeck, it’s like sweet and sour, or just the right blend of spices in a curry. Paul Desmond “Desmond Blue” RCA/Legacy cd (from the Complete RCA Albums box set)
  13. Fascinating stuff in moderate doses. I have the symphony in this -
  14. CD's been repressed. I just went for it.
  15. Wasn't it all out previously on Theresa LP's and Evidence CD's?
  16. How about the Bay Area? Thanks!
  17. I'm all too familiar with that. Public transport there was good the last time I went. Buses were dependable and the drivers were friendly when help was needed but that was all pre COVID.
  18. There are some interesting recordings on the Entropy Stereo label. I recently discovered Griot Galaxy / Faruq Z Bey, so much of the catalog got my attention. I noticed these on DG's website but ordered direct from the label, which has free shipping on CDs. Their website is worth perusing: https://entropystereo.com/catalog.html (Griot Galaxy Live at the DIA - 2 cd)
  19. The choice of chords on this gets my melting point:
  20. You should be fine. The LP set will likely disappear before the cd set.
  21. A few years ago, my son picked up this album in a thrift store and then gave it to me: LP 1
