  2. I never really cared for Mike Brecker (did like a number of Randy Breckers Albums). Felt the same way About Pat Metheny, and Brad Mehldau.

    CD Japan

Has anyone experienced delays from shipping from Japan? I ordered some CDs from CD Japan three weeks ago with no indication they have been shipped to US via FedEx. I emailed them twice for status of order with no response. Has anyone experienced the same from CD Japan? thanks Bob
  8. Silly and underground but SO well-produced catchy 'Bleep stuff' wit vocals. I now that's a contradiction but a perfect contradiction it is.
  9. Depends on how you rated it in the first place. Personally, it's my favorite Pink Floyd album. I played the side with "Comfortably Numb" so many times I nearly wore it out. Prior to this coming out, I listened to "Animals" & "Wish You Were Here" a lot. For some reason, I have never been a huge fan of "Dark Side of the Moon". I do like it, but not as much as these other three.
  11. May I respectfully suggest that you amend/correct the title and item descriptions? It is CHARLES Brown, not Charlie Brown (as in Peanuts ). Just so people know from the start who it is all about. I for one must admit I did not have the slightest idea which artist you were talking about when I saw the title of this thread. Particularly since I found it hard to imagine any of the Charlie Brown artists I had ever heard of (far from all listed on Discogs anyway) would have been graced by a Mosaic set. https://www.discogs.com/search/?q="Charlie+Brown"&type=artist
  12. September 20 Steve Coleman - 1956
  13. Yes indeedy! 😉 That's one item that is a fair bit off the trodden paths of the usual big band repertoires. Very much an item of its times but therefore a natural fit for a V-Disc set.
  14. That album has been reissued by Freshsound on a twofer CD, at least over here it's also on Spotify... https://www.freshsoundrecords.com/juanita-cruse-jeri-jorden-albums/47602-juanita-easy-living-2-lp-on-1-cd.html
  15. Juanita did her own album called Juanita! with Gerald Wiggins in 1961, but I haven't been able to find any recordings of it unfortunately.
  16. Note: Date corrected ...
  17. I was looking at ebay CD listings from Rarewaves, a British seller I have frequently used. Their listings are now carrying the message "Due to US policies, import fees for this item will need to be paid to customs or the shipping carrier on delivery." So I will be avoiding all foreign sellers until/unless this gets resolved, which will definitely decrease my overall purchases and increase my reliance on DG, Amazon, DeepDiscount and other US sellers. I used to put in 1 or 2 three-figures purchases from CDJapan each year, and several smaller purchases from various British sellers on Ebay, but not now. And several of the types of Japanese and EU reissues I used to buy from overseas sources are now going to cost more than I'm willing to spend if I was to buy them from US sellers. First world problem, I realize.
  18. I sold a Polo Ralph Lauren shirt on Ebay. I knew the cross border shipping would be an issue so I marked the item as a gift with a value of $10. The U.S. buyer was still hit with a $50 custom charge.
  19. Thanks. I’m actually ordering a bunch of CDs from s. Korea. Debating on which method to ship them. EMS or FedEx.
