  1. Also listed are the McLean, Byrd and Hill releases.
  2. Too short to be issued by itself.
  3. Happy, happy, happy birthday Rachel.
  4. Gee, Larry must be really, really old.
  5. You can check out the International rates HERE.
  6. Most of the Fat Cat's are really lame suburban/white dixie dates and this was listened to and discarded. Off the top, the only Zutty/Noone encounter I can think of is the Capitol Jazzmen date from 1943.

  8. E-nuh-vold-sin No way. Enevoldsen is a Danish name. Pronounce it like the Italian 'bene' without the 'b'. The last E, I suppose, is silent. Kinda like "enema"?
  9. I think the "Don Ho RIP" thread was deleted 'cause I blamed Don Imus. He may be responsible for this death as well.
  10. No image in your post I can see. The Bowie cover is from 1967 - what is the date of the image you were trying to post? of course not. but i will be forced to point out that when i first saw your icon i thought "holy shit someone on the Organissimo forum has a David Sylvian vs Holger Czukay vs Jon Hassell EP as their icon!" and then i took a second look to discover it was indeed a completely different album, which is probably just as good. here's the design-wise cousin of that Lester Bowie album:
  11. Can you post videos?
  12. You seem to have great instincts - JUMP IN!
  13. You'd have voted for a Feldman forum.
  14. Yes, there was a time (long, long ago) when the music was alive and culture wasn't about digging up the past.
  15. because his reel - to - reel broke? Reel-to-reels are still used by audiophiles and record labels. 8 tracks are the province of a few guys with old trucks.
  16. I have also admired this date since my first vinyl copy back when the covers were real cardboard, but my only compaint is that at 37 minutes there should be more music! Notes per pound/dollar? I have a problem with this unless you are paying "primo" prices for the music. If you get pleasure, what is the limit?
  17. No time for other arguments with details of esp1's post beyond saying if you admire Threadgill, you need the About Times before the BMG stuff. Brown's Calig recordings should be heard before the Impulse stuff too. It is a shame "availability" writes "history".
  18. You should be able to steal these performances anywhere.
  19. Is this a kinder, gentler Chuck we're seeing? Nah!
  20. Is it rude for me to ask why you are buying 8 tracks?
  21. If I had 3 feet my wife and a couple other women would be dead.
  22. You and a couple of people "comped" would hear the music.
  23. I saw them in their "prime". Would love to see it again.
