  1. I might have an extra copy because I bought the box set. I'll have to look for it when I get Home. PM me to remind me.
  2. So did mine! Thanks!
  3. I'm definitely going for the Braxton and Bley, and the Cale/Conrad (whenever it will be). Would love to see, but can't make, the Fujii and Walter/Evens/Halvorson.
  4. Your inbox is full! If they are still around, I'll take the Powell, the Coleman, and the Webster.
  5. Magnificent. Adding a "me too" to "Ayler's Wings". I was intrigued by the idea, I had never heard Gaslini, and I didn't "get" Ayler until I heard this album. The album made me a fan of two musicians!
  6. First off, bear in mind that this is the same soap that one uses to wash dishes. I doubt that there is any discernable film left on my dishes after I wash them. I have been using this method for about 40 years with excellent results. In regards to toothbrushes, remember that this is the same device that rubs up against your gums, so by definition it is not abrasive. Record surfaces are far more durable than human gums! I saw legendary 78 collector Joe Bussard do that on a documentary with a precious Gennett or something. I thought he was putting on the filmmaker!
  7. Anthony Braxton "Live In Willisau" and "Live in Santa Cruz" for a Flamin' Groovies bootleg I once bought drunk on ebay. When I sobered up I had no idea why I did that.
  8. With George Wein? That's be interesting. But seriously, It's Taylor with Oxley.
  9. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum!
  10. From the press release: "This 8-CD set rescues his entire 14-LP Arista output from forgotten vaults." They heard Clem and kept in For Four Orchestras!
  11. CD Cellar has another branch in Arlington, Virginia, where I never seem to leave empty-handed.
  12. And I really need to see more live gigs, so it all works out.
  13. PM sent on all three!
  14. I think the "regionalism" of certain titles or artists more has to do what or what kind of record contracts someone has. In the days before mass globalization, you could be on a different record label in every country. Until the 90s, U2 were on CBS in Ireland and Island Records everywhere else. Or the Sex Pistols on Virgin UK, and Warner Bros in the US.
  15. CT w/ Tony Oxley July 15-20 at the Village Vanguard.
  16. I agree with that. Still, it's jarring to see one of your idols losing it somewhat before your eyes. That happened to me with Dizzy Gillespie too--after 1978 he wasn't the same in live performance. I saw him at the Dave Holland/Barry Altschul reunion show at Columbia University (last year?), and while yeah, he did a rambling spoken introduction to the show, he then went on and did a near-90 minutes of magnificent playing, almost all on his wind instruments.
  17. Is he on the original recording, or Bill Laswell's overdubs?
  18. Again, thanks! I want to get that Live in Zurich 1950 disc on TCB, but I think I'll wait until they get NYNY to place an order.
  19. Really? I'm looking but I can't find it, nor the "New York New York" newie from Storyville.
  20. Does anyone know of a good US source for Storyville nowadays? No American online dealers (Amazon, CDUniverse, World's Records, Cadence, Jazzloft) have either this disc or the Treasury Volume 13. They came up on eMusic last week, but I would rather get the physical object. I remember buying "The Jaywalker" at a Borders a few years ago, but I'm certain it would be fruitless to try now.
  21. What auction list? I'm always looking for stuff similar to your tastes.
  22. If it makes you feel any better Larry, I bought mine off the shelf at a chain bookstore!
  23. Why the frequent country-to-country moves? On the run from the law?
