That's what I did when I bought the LPs back in the 2000s - have a CDr for each LP plus I've also digitalised & burnt to CDr (x2) the latest triple LP set

New Jazz in Britain Joe Harriott release (download) titled "Formation: Live '61 https://jazzinbritain.co.uk/album/formation-live-61 Recorded a few months after the "Free Form" album with 4/5 tracks from it on this live in studio recording (Les Condon replaces Shaky Keane for this session) As usual with the previous JIB releases the SQ is very good IMHO. Will be released as a 12" EP next January but I've already downloaded it & burnt it to CDr

I'm wondering if they're all CDrs - has anyone checked the SME, Rendell/Carr (most recent) releases from the same label Also, I'm interested in the 4CD Harry South Orch Broadcasts (has a disc of Harriott with the band) - anyone have that? It's currently reduced from £18 to £10 Also, they offer a service of removing jewel cases prior to shipment for overseas customers - useful to us here in Australia

Just watched the first two episodes - can't believe I missed this (Don't think it was shown in Australia at the time) Amazing footage (esp Harriott in episode 1), but episode 2 covers the period i'm most interested in (Little Theatre, Blue Notes, etc etc) So many of the people interviewed have since passed. There appears to be a third program but it doesn't seem to continue on from #2 (is that correct) - looks like it covers the UK trad jazz scene (no interest there for me) Anyone with any interest in British Jazz should watch both episodes #1 & #2

now I know what you mean - after removing the LPs from their sleeve pockets it's very difficult to put them back (very first world I agree) - I found if you open/bow the sleeve pocket to a degree the LP will slide in more easily

havn't tried (the 2nd LP came inserted within the gatefold while LPs 1 & 3 were in the sleeve pockets - they should have made a trifold sleeve) Just finished listening to the last LP - what an experience!! & started digitalising the 3 LPs

my copy arrived to day & it's stunning, musically & SQ - I have a lot of Horace (solo, small groups, Arkestra), including unreleased concerts & this has to be right up there at the pinnacle of his releases. Virtually one track per LP side with the bonus of Horace discussing/introducing the compositions & musicians. Horace & the Arkestra have a very special place in my personal jazz canon.

This double CD (Lonehill Jazz) covers most of the Emarcy/Mosaic 5LP set ie 28 of 34 tracks, only missing 6 alternate takes

been trying to source these '81 Village Vanguard CDs for a while now - just found out that Cadnor (were Cadence & Klompfoot) stock them & are still a viable concern. I thought they'd closed down a while back (bought from them consistently over 1999 to 2012)
