Look to the lower right of the screen and you will see a green plus sign and a red subtract sign. You can vote a post UP (you liked it) or DOWN (you didn't like it), as on Digg, Reddit, Slashdot, etc. Sometimes called Karma. That appears to be a feature that hasn't been activated yet, I'm guessing. I clicked it and it said I'd reached my quota (of zero I guess) for the day. I second (actually, first!) this recommendation! The red and green buttons aren't part of the multiquote feature - they are for "reputation" I believe, as mentioned above. To do a multiquote, you click the multiquote button next to the two or more posts you want to quote. Then when you've selected those, go to the bottom of the page and click the Add Reply button, and all of the quoted posts will appear in your window.

One thing I DO like that seems to have changed, is that there is no longer a 30 second delay between Viewing New Content clicks. That was annoying - usually I did that when there was a glitch or hangup, and the new threads didn't display right away, so I'd click it again, and then get a message saying I'd have to wait 30 seconds. Also - is there a place on the forum when you first come on that shows if you've got new PM's? Or do you have to go to your profile to check?

I guess this means that I have to turn off the sound on my computer every time I "view new content" I don't think there's an MP3 that plays when you click on the "View New Content" button, Hans (?). There is one in this thread, however. Unless I'm missing something?

Minor thing, but can you turn on the member's location by their name/avatar? I associate people with locations, and it helps me remember who's who, particularly with names that are used by more than one person.

Not gonna name any names coughvajerzycough, but somebody forgot to make their pick for tonight's game. It's probably ok though, cuz everyone else picked Pittsburgh, who are losing 13-6 at the start of the 4th quarter to the lowly Browns. -
That would mean you stopped watching after...oh, about the 2nd episode!

Happy Birthday and all the best for the coming year!

They eat EVERY meal out, according to the article. Also, they don't keep any of their work clothes at home, but leave them at various dry cleaners. They apparently put on jogging clothes and jog to work, while picking up the work clothes along the way, and then change when they arrive at the office. Odd peeps.

Wild finish to the Texas-Nebraska game tonight! When Nebraska kicked the FG to go ahead 12-10, I thought their defense might actually hold Texas. But a kick out of bounds, and a horse collar tackle put Texas into FG range pretty quickly. Colt McCoy made one final pass attempt that appeared to run out the clock, but the refs ruled one second on the clock, and Texas was able to kick a FG to win it, 13-12. Man, if Nebraska had pulled the upset, we might be looking at an Alabama/TCU national championship game. Who woulda expected that??

I believe their prices were due to their usual location in malls, with higher rent than other stores. I don't think bargain shoppers or music fans were their target market. Mall shoppers and other impulse buyers maybe.

Hey now!! I think everyone should be able to put in late picks for Thursday games (unless it's already over, I don't even know!). I have no problem with anyone who didn't get it in in time, getting corrected. -
Picked up the recent "Radiation" EP from UKZ, which is the band comprised of Eddie Jobson, Trey Gunn (ex King Crimson), Aaron Lippert (Expanding Man), Alex Machacek (Out Trio, with Terry Bozzio and Patrick O'Hearn), and Marco Minnemann. Pretty cool disc, heavy with some PT-ish and KC-ish sounds in spots, and mellower in others. I like Trey Gunn in general, so I hope this project results in some further recordings. Jobson already had a spinoff from THIS group, called U-Z. That one appears to include (or at least guests) John Wetton (!), Tony Levin, Greg Howe, and Minneman. www.ukzband.com

I think there's probably a more appropriate thread than this one (isn't there one about jazzy styled images in non-jazz places or something like that?), but I don't know where to find it, so it's here. Some very cool images in the new Miami Heat intro videos, where each player gets a BN-style album cover: I'd paste them all, but they're in some funky format, had to transfer those two to imageshack first. -
Coming from you, that means alot.
