I know as a fan that if your team loses the WS, it's painful. But the fact that they've climbed back in it legitimizes them to me - I'd love to see it go to a Game 7, which is entirely possible. I think the Phils have a win in 'em tomorrow night!

Last night reminded me of the Brad Lidge that pitched for the Astros in 2005 against Pujols in the NLCS and the White Sox in the World Series. Get in his head a little and he gets rattled.

I think it's too early to say that. Going into the playoffs as a Division champ versus a Wild Card is a big difference. You get a bye the first weekend of the playoff for one. Their record is very good, and if they continue to play well the rest of the regular season, they may sew up the Division anyway, so it *may* not matter. But if they limp into the playoffs as the lowest seeded wild card, they could be out very quickly.

I always preferred Sigerson to Sherlock.

I don't have a Borders anywhere near me though, but if I ordered it on their website it comes to $170 shipped (though it's backordered 4-8 wks). Still not a bad deal!

Phil's not a bad drummer (or wasn't, anyway, since he apparently is no longer one). But he became a progressively bland songwriter, IMO. I think that's his crime as far as Genesis goes. Though Banks & Rutherford are guilty of that, too.

Beautiful cat! We also have a diluted tortoise that looks very much like that, though she's not friendly (playful yes, affectionate and cuddly no, to the disappointment of my daughter).

Hell, Shaq was fat and slow when he was a Laker. I can't remember when he wasn't overweight. His mass was his strength though, physically able to manhandle the lighter big guys on the other teams. I agree that it's probably going to be a failure though, in Cleveland.

Watching the Spurs/Hornets season opener tonight, man this Spurs team could be good. It's DEEP, with the additions of Richard Jefferson, Antonio McDyess, and DeJuan Blair added to the Big 3. And George Hill is playing well early, as is Roger Mason Jr. Barring injuries to Duncan & Ginobili, which always seem to happen, this team could go very deep in the playoffs.
