  1. Yeah, he doesn't seem like a player who is going to age well, and he has already regressed some the past two seasons. Of course, we in Philly are haunted by the ghost of the Ryan Howard extension, where he averaged about a game below replacement WAR per year over the five years.
  2. RIP, loved his work with Soft Machine, long-time favorites. Had/have all their albums on which he participated. He also seemed to have his head screwed on tight from what I could tell reading their biography. And the look with the shades was iconic.
  3. I have not received the discs or shipping confirmation, just emailed Matt.
  4. Hi JIm, looks like site certificate just expired?

  5. I was not aware of this one prior to today, can't wait to hear it. Jackie McLean on a CTI album? Yes please and thank you!
  6. Yes, nice for filling in some missing titles, thanks. The McCord is not really jazz or even particularly close, but a nice enough album on its own terms. More of a talented 17 year old greatly influenced by the likes of 1969-era Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins.
  7. LOL! or "Girl With No Eyes".
  8. Could he have forced a sign-and-trade to get his supermax? If so, Davis,Christie a #1, and the contract dumps may be a much better return?
  9. Mavs must be convinced that Doncic was not going to re-up in 2026. They also get Christie and a 2029 #1, and dump some bad contracts, but still...
  10. I've never heard the Thornton Actuel, look forward to it. Also would love to hear that "Love's Last Cry" album.
  11. Just ordered mine from Amazon (cheaper than other sources), arrives tomorrow.
  12. Good for you! Did package include the final three releases which we've been waiting on?
  13. RIP. Fascinating persona, interesting musician.
  14. Moncur's 'New Africa' is my pick of that label's output by a mile. Also, Shepp's 'Yasmina, A Black Woman', the other Moncur, and the Arthur Jones are all really good.
  15. Thankfully already available as downloads. Wish there were CD's (or that the downloads were cheaper). Anyone familiar with these albums? How good are they? https://destination-out.bandcamp.com/album/berlin-concert https://destination-out.bandcamp.com/album/schizophrenic-blues
  16. Reading more on the website, it does appear to be a non-profit. Board of Directors, Artistic Council, clear mission, etc.

  18. I never have received shipping notices from them, but the CD's have always shown up eventually.
  19. I'm on the fence, it's a set I may well buy and then resell on ebay.
  20. Yes, Cherry Red does a great job on every aspect of their reissues, from artwork/packaging to liner notes to song selection to price.
