Every now and then though I get the urge for some kfc and when I do it's the original recipie but the extra crispy is ok too. However if it's been under the lamp for awhile it really doesn't matter because it's all caca.

I'm a big fan of Van Morrison and I'll be most interested to see how his Blue Note debut turns out.I agree with Jim Sangrey's post on this matter. Overall I feel that Van has very consistently recorded quality music.He has had his share of recordings that have been deemed essential by whomever. However anybody who has recorded as proifically as Van Morrison is bound to release subpar recordings or recordings that are just flat out dogs it just seems like the law of averages but a Van Morrison "barker " is still better than the best efforts of a lot of people. BTW I agree with Bev about "Back on Top".

Something that captures at least satisfactorily the high and low ends of this awesome music. Don't get me wrong even on those recordings where Bird might not had been at his best you hear the work of one of the greatest geniuses any kind of music has produced. A case might be made for me picking nits on this one and I'm sorry but just about everything I've heard from Bird has sounded tinny. I have no quarrel whatsoever with the mans music I was just wondering if there was something out there that sounded sonically good. I confess to being wretchedly spoiled by the sonic quality of music that has been released either new or reissued in the last few years.If Bird hasn't had any of the sonic upgrades that's ok I'll support his music till ther day I die.

I cast the first vote for Jimmy McGriff though I would have liked to seen Don Patterson on the list.

Not that I'm a fanatical audiophile ar anything but is there a Bird set out there with a decent sound?

If I was going to release a movie like the Zellwegger/Macgregor movie the same week as something like "the Matrix" sequel I would pray that it had big strong legs in order to withstand the initial blitz of all those special effects.

I dont know of a single individual on this board who has anything to prove or justify to this Pat Robertson clone called Musicboy(now there's an oxymoron).
