  1. A couple of more- Los Lobotomys and Daryl Rhoades and the HaHaVishnu Orchestra.
  2. Miles but only because I'm not familiar with the Coltrane session.
  3. Does anybody know what month this will be out?
  4. Wells and Mota would be a good exchange for the Dodgers but I dont think the Bosox would let LA off the hook so easily. My guess is that Boston would want a prospect(s) from the Dodgers and they have some good ones.
  5. Happy Belated B Day Clifford!!!

  11. Not too bad today. Sunny and 46 degrees.
  12. As you might expect with the exception of the Herb Alpert and Sony albums I'm partial to Gato. I had a chance to interview him before the first A&M album came out and he was a pretty cool guy. At the time he had gotten his family out of Argentina just before the military junta got ahold of them and that and having to tour to support the new album had left him pretty tired but he still sat down and talked to me for an hour and to this day I consider that my favorite interview.
  13. Carlos and Gato jammed on "Europa" on a PBS special years ago and Carlos played on a track of a Gato album called "Tropico" but it wasn't very strong and as a matter of fact the album was pretty damned bad.
  14. I ordered chapter 4 from BMG and I hope it was remixed. The guitar was way down in the mix and while some may consider that a blessing I found it really annoying. I like the majority of the Flying Dutchman and Impulse sides but after Herb Alpert got ahold of Gato I started to lose interest though "Ruby Ruby" was ok.
  15. They are definitely wound up pretty tight.
  16. Ordered "Domination" received "Domination". Not a smooth jazz player in the neighborhood.
  17. Belatedly-Happy Birthday!!!
  18. . Wonder if they'll live on Green Dolphin Street?
  19. Unseasonably mild for this time of the year. It got up to 44 today currently 23 degrees.
  20. I've got a couple of bottles of some good Champagne that I plan to consume in the safety of my home and I'm going to listen to a shitload of music. That's a lot more enjoyable afaic than interacting with the amateurs. Happy New Year everyone!!!!
  21. The sooner you get it handled ss1 the better. We had a person who came into the station today with all kinds of tooth woes. Too make a long story short she went through all kinds of dental professionals wth no answers but they got her money and she still had pain to spare. Finally she went back to the person she went to in the first place and his response was to say the tooth has to go so as I undertand it that is the scenario that will play itself out. Now this individual I'm talking about is bright and talented but hell anyone can get the runaround.
  22. Cool man. Thanks!!!!
  23. The last time was this summer in a Colorado speed trap called Del Norte. I was on my way back from Pueblo after doing some play by play for our high school baseball team. I had slept about three hours in the last two days and I was headed to a rest area a few miles from Del Norte but first I had to run the gauntlet through the town. Unfortunately because I was short on sleep I wasn't as alert as I should have been and I was going 38 in a 25 zone. Typical scenario bored cops watching for speeders and here I came riding to their rescue. They pulled me over just before I got out of town and if that wasn't bad enough I had to deal with one of these punk ass macho young cops. The privilege of driving through Del Norte cost me 60 dollars and two points but on the bright side by the time I left Del Norte I was so mad and had so much adrenilne going that I didn't need the rest stop. Another time when I was still living in Brawley,California I was hurrying back there from Arizona becuae I had to be on the air at the radio station I was working at in Brawley. Just before I got to the California border I got pulled over by a chickenshit Arizona Department of Public Safety officer and there always just too happy to write up Californians and add to the state coffers. However this wasn't the final chapter in a perfectly shitty day. I finally got to the radio station only to discover that it was off the air and the reason it was off the air was that it was bleeding through the public address system of an alcoholics anonymous meeting that the station owner was attending as a guest of another employee. The owners response was too pull the station off the air and not allow it to return until the meeting was concluded. When I was told this I became madder than a motherfucker. It was a once in a lifetime experience and hopefully it will stay that way.
