  3. Thought so.
  4. Dave the Sons of Champlin have been actively recording in the last few years plus some of their stuff has been reissued I think I'll check it out. I saw Chicago when they were CTA at the Arizona State Fair for 50 cents. Paid the same price for Deep Purple at the fair-YOW!!!!
  5. Hasn't Metheny also worked with Ornette Coleman and Charlie Haden?
  6. He probably didn't get permission from Wynton and Stanley Crouch.
  7. I just got this recently haven't had a chance to listen it to it much but the sound so far is really stellar and another thing I like is that there is not numerous different versions of the same song.
  8. That's a cool story Chuck. His message is very much on my mind this day and every day.
  9. You probably wont like everything on the box there is a lot of material but it is a bargain and overall JC did a lot of super work during that stretch.
  10. Just picked up the magazine and enjoyed seeing the Wolff photos. I'm sure these are not new for the majority of the posters but it was the first time I have seen these photos and I really enjoyed them.
  11. Wolf Creek is still a secret but greedy old billionare Red McCombs is trying to change that so come enjoy it while you can because if McCombs has his way he'll change it into another Aspen. I'm not a skier or snowboarder but if you have questions I can probably get them answered for you. So come and enjoy.
  12. After the second album I lost interest in BS&T.
  13. If for some bizarre reason these don't sell on e bay will you offer them on the board?
  14. Assume you are thinking of the Dizzy Gillespie and his Big Band in Concert that came out on GNP Crescendo! That one: http://store.gnpcrescendo.com/product_info...&products_id=39 One of Dizzy's best albums! That's the one!!!!Thanks.
  15. Wolf Creek which is near my home is now in triple digits at mid mountain and the base. The Pineapple express which just passed through here dumped over 10 feet of new powder on the mountain.
  16. Not a bad idea. I wonder if Michael Cuscuna has tried to get some Dizzy sides for a mosaic ? My apologies for wandering off topic but years ago I had a Dizzy big band album that was recorded live and the one thing that stuck with me besides Dizzy's playing was a great Baritone solo by Cecil Payne. Does this ring a bell and if so does anybody know where it can be obtained?
  17. On the non jazz front-Elvin Bishop.
  18. Ed I've been enjoying the playing of the guy in your avatar a lot recently so I think I should count him too.
  19. I don't have to go to far into the Horace Silver catalogue to find something to lighten my load.
  20. Thank you Chuck.
  21. Yes you may. Good choice.
