I know you’re not a big fan of Fresh Sound, but the four cd set they put out, Complete Parisian Small Group Sessions, 1956-1959, is a terrific release.

My favorite White Christmas.

Not really a comic book, but I bet I caught your attention, more like a graphic novel. Below is an interview with the creator and writer of “Monk,” Youssef Daoudi. Youssef Daoudi: 'Monk!', Jazz, and the Human Condition

I finally gave up for now on Berlin Alexanderplatz; I couldn’t get comfortable with Döblin’s style of writing. I purchased Sense and Sensibility some time ago and have picked it up again. The introduction is a bit turgid. I often think that these introductions are better as after words.

That might have been my introduction to organ and I was sold.

I have Oticon hearing aids, which you need to purchase through an audiologist. Although they are not cheap, they are definitely helpful. They are Bluetooth ready and can be controlled through an iPhone. For example, if I’m on a conference call, they make the iPhone hands free. They also dispense with the need to use headphones of any kind. I will admit I’m not a big fan of something in my ear and my family is always yelling at me to use the “god damned hearing aids,” but these hearing aids are very good.

Yes, the one with the Woodchopers. Woody’s singing is not my thing. -
Complete set of Mosaic Selects on eBay
Brad replied to Dave Garrett's topic in Offering and Looking For...
I have all the Selects and big boxes I want at this point. I’ve sold a few but at this point the only I want to sell is the second Herman big box, which I may post here soon. -

If that should take place, the Yankees will be dealing from weakness due not only to his no trade clause but because other teams, like the Dodgers, know they have to trade him. Of course, the Yankees didn't pay a king's ransom to acquire him so maybe they'll accept lower level picks to replenish their farm system. I hope that he returns to the Nationals; I think that's where he belongs.

Why Most of America Is Terrible at Making Biscuits
Brad replied to JSngry's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
My late Mother made the best and lightest biscuits and she was no Southerner but hailed from the East, the East side of Manhattan that is. Wherever we lived — the US, South America, the Caribbean or Spain, they came out just fine. -
By PD James, using characters from Pride and Prejudice. Not necessary to have read the book but it helps to understand some of the characters.

Elbow Ligament Damage Symptoms/Severity?
Brad replied to Dan Gould's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Good luck Dan. When I went to see the orthopedist, they took X-rays and he recommended physical therapy and if that didn’t work, surgery. I wound up doing neither and eventually it settled down. I was lucky. -
If Trout ever became available, I can’t see him winding up with anyone but the Phillies. Being the Philly sports fanatic that he is, I don’t think he’d sign a long term deal with anybody with them and who’s going to take a chance on him without his signing a long term deal with that team. I think it would be crazy for the Angels to trade him; the fans would go crazy.

Elbow Ligament Damage Symptoms/Severity?
Brad replied to Dan Gould's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
I’ve had elbow pain in the past when I did something stupid. I agree with Jim generally but I’d call an orthopedist Monday; don’t delay.
