  1. I thought might be about the best beach spots. We go to south jersey ourselves, Cape May. Love it.
  2. I also have the big box, one of the best things I own. However, the new set is good for those who don't have the large one.
  3. I'm having trouble with links. If I try to insert one using the shortcut in the menu, it doesn't work. I've had to resort to pasting the link directly into a post. Any ideas?
  4. Aw, c'mon, who doesn't love Rudolph: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py0dsLH9Zck
  5. Usually a cheeseburger, nothing fancy. Man, you're getting me hungry and I just had a late lunch!
  6. I have to go with the Onyx Club. They were really on fire. I also happen to like the Birdland material quite a bit. Has anyone ever done White Christmas like Bird?
  7. No offense but Philly, just like any other team, probably had a budget; I think even the Yankees do. Can you seriously tell me that Halladay is not an upgrade over Lee. I think you guys should be really happy that you got him. Apparently, he really wanted to be with the Phillies and he wasn't looking to bust the budget. They knew they could reasonably negotiate with him and they weren't sure about Lee. The only down side was getting rid of Drabek but guys like Halladay don't come around often and you surely didn't want the New York teams or the Red Sox to get him did you?
  8. I don't have much sympathy for him.
  9. Meat loaf and noodles tonight. Not bad. No complaints.
  10. Done! Thanks Jim.
  11. Nice looking guitar Lon; I like that kind of wood.
  12. I just picked up a used box set of Buffalo Springfield put out by Rhino (unfortunately no longer available generally) and have to back off what I said about them (he says sheephishly) . I'm enjoying it
  13. When I was in my first year of law school, above my girlfriend's apartment, another student and his wife used to pretty noisy. Then one day, she had some friends over and while we were watching Saturday Night Live, and we heard them going at it, a bunch of us started laughing and couldn't stop and I guess they heard us because for awhile after that they wouldn't look at us
  14. That's good to hear Bertrand. Getting rid of duplicates can be an annyoyance.
  15. I'm not sure I really understand; are you talking about the difference between lyrics and music. Lyrics is the content around which the melody is wrapped.
  16. The gist of the article is that we're transitioning to virtual music, what's called music in the clouds, where no one physically owns Cds anymore. See the article http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/16/technology/internet/16tune.html?scp=1&sq=spotify&st=cse. I'm of the older generation , I still like to be able to touch and hold something.
  17. Noticed you bought Social Call. Great disc, you'll love it.
  18. That's pretty cool Allen. Happy Birthday, Barry, you're one of my favorites
  19. Yeah, who needs an old fart like me?
  20. Unfortunately, it's no laughing matter; I don't think people really know how to express themselves properly anymore.
  21. Might be a settings thing.
  22. Hans may laugh but I was at FYE today and saw a used copy of the Buffalo Springfield box set put out by Rhino, at a third off normal price. Couldn't pass on it.
  23. When I was driving to work today, Sid Gribitz on WKCR played a few cuts from the Kenny Dorham CD and the music sounds fabulous, the guys were in the groove that night. I'm off to order it.
  24. You have to love a team that has a plan and then executes upon it.
  25. Isn't that last year's thread. Well, what the heck. Happy Birthday Jim!
