  1. Simply amazing.
  2. I think this might hold for any musical instrument that you're trying to learn for the first time: don't buy anything too expensive (a student model maybe); in my area you can rent instruments so maybe some music shops in your area may do the same.
  3. Think I have this. Any Tommy is generally good.
  4. Never heard of them but interesting stuff to be sure.
  5. That's the arrangement my son and I have. I don't use autosync for mine since it's only a Nano; I just use playlists. He's unchecked all my jazz stuff but otherwise autosyncs.
  6. Since your old ipod has more memory than your wife's, I wouldn't think it would since obviously you've figured out what to do with yours and hers. I assume you don't autosync on the present arrangement.
  7. I think Hans' advice is the best one. That is what I do when I get a suspicious ebay email. By the way, the spammers seem to have gotten tired of the ebay scam and moved on (at least in my case).
  8. I haven't listened to this one in a long time but do remember liking it (particularly the Morgan piece) and liking it more than I expected to.
  9. Don't regular DVDs work in Bluray. If so and you can get an all region one, that should work, right?
  10. There's a great bio about him on Pete Fornatale's Back to the Garden about Woodstock. He was the conscience of the festival by all accounts.
  11. No, but I saw it on the Beatles web site when it was first announced.
  12. Drink sounds nasty. Hope you had a goooooooooooood birthday
  13. Randy, Welcome back. Your typing seems fine to me and I hope you continue your recovery and have a much better 2010. Best, Brad
  14. Allen, Have you ever tried doing it yourself. There's a company out there I think called blurb.com where you can print as many as you want, no minimums. I think you'd find a ready audience here for a book like that.
  15. Are there any decent histories out there?
  16. I'm very sorry to hear this. He was a giant. RIP.
  17. Your wife actually knows of Tina Brooks? Awesome ! My thoughts exactly. That's really cool. You're a lucky man
  18. Remember that Star Trek episode when they visited a planet where everyone was a zombie except between 12:00 and 1:00 in the afternoon? They called it the Red Hour. During that time, folks could do as they pleased without consequence. I'm pretty sure that's what we're talking about here. Return of the Archo...wait; I'm not a trekkie! Can I go there now?
  19. Maybe her mom told her to finally wake up
  20. What a great article. Thanks for posting that.
  21. Oh, mi god, this is so exciting. I have to stay up til 12 to celebrate!
  22. I guess we'll have to do without Sterling referring to the Milk-man. Now, isn't that a shame
  23. I'm sorry you didn't get the one on ebay but it was a little pricey
  24. A lot of orgies I hope!
  25. Guy's a genius no doubt.
