Sorry to hear about your bad luck Stefan. It can only get better from here.

One that you didn't mention which I enjoy quite a bit is Kenton Presents: Bob Cooper, Bill Holman & Frank Rosolino.
-
If you can find that leader session, get it. Definitely worth it.

That is jaw dropping video. As a person with no musical or dancing talent, I'd like to think I could have done better.

It shows that our globe is in trouble.

That's a riot. Wonder if she liked it

It may be a case of the holidays and such but if you don't have them by Monday I would call them. I have to believe they would replace it.

I don't have a problem with eating it (in case anybody wants to know ) but truth in advertising is important, just like any other food.

So you think that the itunes files were also damaged? That might explain things. I had about 3000 songs on there and I've started to get rid of all of 'em. I'll just start again, except for some cds I no longer have. What I'll probably do in that case is download those to a cd and then upload back into itunes to see if that works.

What happened originally with the first ipod is that as I was waiting for the computer to download songs to the ipod, I became impatient and opened up my browser, aol. The computer froze and when I turned it off and restarted it, it had wiped the ipod harddrive clean. On the new ipod, you're correct. Itunes is fine and I can burn it to a cd but when I play it on the ipod, it does some weird things.

Here's a question. I had an ipod that I got about two years ago and loaded up 3,000 tunes. To make a long story short, the computer at some point wiped the hard drive from the ipod. End of ipod. But I still had itunes and my son used it for his music. We got him a new one this year and I thought I manually synced it but didn't so everything loaded up, which I later fixed so it just has his stuff. Anyway, when I went to play my stuff, it wouldn't play the jazz. You'd choose an album, then pick a song and it would randomly pick a song or not at all. Anyone ever heard of something like that? I'm just assuming that because the songs were loaded on an old version of itunes that somehow those files became corrupted. I can play the songs in itunes and can burn them but just couldn't play them on the ipod.

New Selects and singles up on the board
Brad replied to tranemonk's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
The boogie woogie Select should be very interesting. Like the Ellington too. -
I just saw that someone has this listed on ebay at a great price, http://cgi.ebay.com/Turn-Out-The-Stars-The...1QQcmdZViewItem

I have most of the Riverside material, plus some of the Japanese reissues, and prefer it a bit more to the Turn Out the Stars, which I found is better taken in individual cd bites than continous listening.

First Jazz set was the Hank Mobley Mosaic set.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Jazz Piano. That one is at the top of my list. I'm not wild about Witherspoon but I'll give it a chance. Same for Woody and I'll probably pick up the Hutch. I like most everything he's done that I've heard. Pass on the Tyner. He generally doesn't do it for me.

Could be that most of us have most of them in one form or another. I certainly do.

I think the sound is good and some of the transition are quite interesting. Because is a little weird because there is so much spacing in it. I would have liked to see the approach taken with some of the older songs but it's possible that they didn't lend themselves to the approach taken by the Martins.

Auction ends tonight. Still a pretty good price.

A New Way to Buy Cds Without the Missus Knowing

There's one up the road from me. I got to check this out. -
I gave up going to the doctors a long time ago. IMHO, there's nothing they can do. The noise is there. It won't permanently go away.

Which Mosaic Are You Enjoying Right Now?

Chambers Kelly Disc 5. -
Well, it's nice to know I'm not alone. Like Tjobbe, I got this from a cold. Back in 2002, I got one and the ringing wouldn't stop. This happened during the holidays and the specialist was away so I had to wait until the new year. Plus, I needed Xanax to get to sleep. I thought I was going to go out of my mind. Anyway, I saw the specialist and he told me that I was stuck with it. I half-seriously contemplated suicide a couple of times. I finally went to see my old ear doctor in Connecticut, who told me you had this before, just not as loud, and told me to start living my life. That seemed to calm me down and I slowly eased myself off the Xanax. Over time, it's become like background noise and I have no problems sleeping at night. One thing that has happened is that I do get frequent headaches and do need allegra and occasional aspirin to get by. Ocassionally it gets a little worse but I know how to calm myself down and just live with it. Someday, they'll hopefully find a cure but I doubt it.

Pam and Kid Rock Heading To Divorce Court

I guess Borat has a chance now! -
I'm with you, Brad, but the fact is there are many reasons: The contract was regarded as a financial albatross (less so now that only two guaranteed years remain; plus this year's contracts make it seem like Manny's 20 mil a year (3 mil deferred) look downright economical). Manny has kept asking for a trade, over and over and over and over again. He's been asking out ever since he arrived. He hates the intrusive fans and media, which is why he's always wanted to go to LA. Manny's lack of all-out effort over 162 games - the ever popular "Manny being Manny" Hard to argue with those reasons. Hope they get decent value. Not sure LA will be any better as far as intrusiveness goes.
