Mosaic Complete Master jazz piano series
Brad replied to ASNL77's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
If anyone else needs this, please let me know. Ready to be sent! -
I use that too. They have highest, lowest and median. It’s very useful in figuring out pricing, both as a buyer and a seller.

This concierge thing is a way people are using to jump the line. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/01/08/world/covid-19-coronavirus/heres-how-the-wealthy-are-trying-to-jump-the-line-in-the-vaccine-rollout -

I recently picked up a used copy of Volume 2 at a local record store but have yet to play it. -
Playing Favorites: Reflections on Jazz of the Later 1940's

I don’t know if you’re thinking of these but Verve issued two LP sets, The Genius of Bud Powell, Volume 1, in 1976 and The Genius of Bud Powell, Volume 2, in 1978. -
As Mosaic sets have fixed parameters around them such as 1935-1940 for Savory, I wonder what those would be for a Sunenblick Mosaic. Whatever it was, I’d purchase it in a second.

Looking his discography on jazzdiscography.com, I come up with the following leader albums on which he played (other than his own), which seem too many for a box set. Mosaic must be limiting in some way. Kenny Dorham 2 Grant Green 3 Johnny Coles 2 Blue Mitchell Andrew Hill 3 Lee Morgan 3 Bobby Hutcherson 2 Freddie Roach 2 Horace Silver 3 Duke Pearson 2 Freddie Hubbard Pete LaRoca Larry Young

I know that when AZ releases results a few months ago there were some issues which I assume they’ve surmounted. The FDA won’t approve the vaccine until they’ve reviewed US data, which is expected to take place in February. Fwiw, AZ has no experience making vaccines. The EMA is supposed to take it up this week.

If the set includes his sideman appearances, it’s going to be a very large set.

I looked at some of his tweets. Not sure what to make of him.

COVID-19 III: No Politics For Thee

The problem with posting the story that GA did is that it implies there’s a causal connection between his taking the vaccine and his death. No connection has been established that it was the proximate cause of his death. It’s as if I went out to the grocery store and purchased some groceries and an hour later get into a car accident. Purchasing the groceries was not the proximate cause of the accident. -
What are you looking for specifically. I have the Argo album.

I’m surprised that you would use this as a source for info. For example, the lead news story refers to “alleged President Joe Biden.” That’s all you need to know. -
Braves legend Hank Aaron dies at age 86

I, too, saw the Mets play in the Polo Grounds in 1962. They played the Braves and I still have the scorecard somewhere. Unfortunately, Ebbets Field was gone by then, the victim of a wrecker’s ball. At the original Polo Grounds, yes, but that is not the Polo Grounds where the Giants would play most of their games while in NY. See Polo Grounds -
When we go (and my wife have appointments on different days), we will both go to guard against such an eventuality. I was talking to a doctor friend this past week and he said that they have to convince many of the support staff in his office (it’s a large practice) to have the vaccination.
-
One shot is about 52% effective. Obviously two are best but one is better than nothing. DiBlasio can’t run for re-election so no votes are involved. I think many places are making you wait 15 minutes after injections to make sure you don’t have an anaphylactic reaction.

If you can. We’ve received notifications to book an appointment but can’t get one, at least not around here, NW New Jersey. My cousin told me about the Burlington vaccination center (about 90 minutes driving time from here) and after repeated tries we got one, but not until mid April. The rollout in NJ (as with many states) is chaotic. Different centers have different ways to remember. It’s absurd.

Brits planning to buy from JazzMessengers?

Brexit is hurting consumers and sellers alike. -
That seems rather unusual. How would you even make it. Must have been very limited.
