I purchased several TPS when BN had their sale in December. I listened to Minor Move last night and the sound is pretty amazing, better than the cd I have.

I received it recently; I opted for the deluxe edition. Shipping was delayed because I believe they were having trouble with suppliers. Mine came with the 45, which are two songs from JATP. I looked through my JATP set and didn’t see the two songs listed. The set also came with three nice prints I may have one of them framed. Photos of the prints. The photos of the 45 are not the clearest so it’s the JATP at the Shrine Auditorium, LA, November 22, 1948, Charlie Parker, Tommy Potter, Al Haig and J.C. Heard.

I chipped in $50.

In the first Borat movie (which was riotous), the people in the movie signed extensive releases. However, your question seems to be not what they signed but what compelled them to do so. In other words, why? That seems a question only answerable by those people. Here’s an article on the releases involved in the first movie, Borat Tricked Me: Can’t I Sue Him or Something?

I thought you were a Giants and/or As fan????

Basically, what jcam said. It tends to evaporate in its own. I did empty It once and it was easy. There is a stopper on the bottom and you just pull it out.

Spanish is quite similar, naturally. The equivalent of tromper is trampa in Spanish.

I purchased the Nitty Gritty and am quite happy with it. I found this to be an excellent video on the machine and how to use it.

From what I’ve read, Manfred doesn’t sound like he’s overwhelmingly in favor of the DH rule in the NL. However, he does like the extra inning rule. Oddly enough, we haven’t yet had an extra inning game in the post season.

Dodgers defied history by coming back from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits. They will be favored but I’m not a fan of that team. I hope the Rays can pull it out.

Gloria Coleman’s Soul Sisters is a very good album.

When I first had it in the mid 90s I had one. This time I didn’t. -

I never noticed a bullseye either. -
An article in The Times about what to do about racist songs when issuing a collection on American folk music. How to Handle the Hate in America’s Musical Heritage “Lance Ledbetter was buying sweet Georgia peaches near downtown Atlanta on a sweltering June morning when he realized he was about to make a potentially catastrophic mistake: His record label, the Grammy-winning archival bastion Dust-to-Digital, would soon release its first racist songs.” He and his wife decided they couldn’t release the racist songs, a move with which all do not agree.

You may find this thread from Hoffmann interesting. I’m in the Yes camp. Do you clean new vinyl before first playback?

That’s good Dan. Best of luck to Susan and you going forward. -
Glad I never went to any of those kind of concerts. Wouldn’t have wanted to give those people any of my money.

Glad to hear it Dan. Her case sounds a little reminiscent of mine. Hopefully, it’s not advanced Lyme. -
I feel completely the opposite. I’ve had a lot of fun and enjoyment relistening to the music of my youth (mid 60s to mid 70s). As an example, I loved the Doors then and that hasn’t changed. The modern stuff doesn’t do much for me.

Southern Indiana was settled by many pioneers from Kentucky so that may give it a Southern vibe; Thomas Lincoln (Lincoln’s father) moved there in 1816. Northern Indiana was settled by people from New England so it may be a bit different than the southern part of the state The World Series will be taking place in Texas, giving the NL winner a slight advantage in terms of familiarity with Globe Field. No and yes. Kentucky was a border state and did not secede but you’d consider it part of the South. Although Tennessee did secede, Eastern Tennessee was pro Union whereas the West was pro Confederacy. There were also sections of Alabama that were strong pro Union. US District Court Judge Frank Johnson of Alabama, who handed down many key integration rulings in the 1950s and 1960s, was from a northern Alabama county that had opposed secession. History runs deep.
