What rock music are you listening to? Non-Jazz, Non-Classical.

I’m of the same mind, having seen them up close and hearing the fans on a daily basis. After being in the same place for many years, sometimes a change is needed, just to bring a fresh perspective. This applies to any organization, not just baseball.

COVID-19 III: No Politics For Thee

Here’s the link, https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/10/10/coronavirus-denier-sick-spreader/?arc404=true I believe the Post is permitting access for pandemic related stories during the pandemic. Pretty sad story about how this thing can spread. -
They are all good players but when it comes to titles it’s still the big three. Thiem only won the US Open because of Djokovick’s stupid mistake. On the other hand the women’s game is wide open, with so much talent. There really is no comparison.

The women’s side is where the exciting tennis is. The men’s is basically the big three.

He’s basically unbeatable on clay, more human everywhere else. Notwithstanding, too many unforced errors by Novak. We’ll see what happens in Melbourne next year.

Yes, there is. -
Many teams operate this way, unfortunately. The problem with the above analysis is that he’d already thrown 94 pitches. How much he had left is debatable. As I may have mentioned, the Rays, who don’t have superstars, play as a team. They get the most out of their talent. The Yankees don’t.

I have a friend — a Red Sox fan — who says that YED (Yankee Elimination Day) is his favorite day of the year after Christmas. When the Yankees lost last night I wished him a Happy YED.

Good idea. Bear Family has it slightly discounted, $218. -

By referencing all the championships they’ve won, and how they’re in the hunt every year and so forth. They just can’t avoid the fact that they haven’t been to a WS for 11 years and counting and that for them it was a disappointing season after all the expectations. On the other hand you can chalk it up to being a very unusual year and the SP injuries.

That’s interesting. I can’t say I’m a big fan of the music of that time or of Van Halen but he was a unique talent. Greatest of all time? There is only one. Hendrix. I never saw EVH play but saw Jeff Beck play several times and he did things with the guitar that blew my mind. Not saying he’s the best (after Jimi) but he’s in the conversation, in my opinion.

You’re just trying to put a positive spin on it but there’s no doubt the Rays were the better team because their players, none of whom you could call outstanding, play together as a team. When I look at players like Stanton and Voit, I see a lot of free swingers. Case in point. In game 2 when the Yankees had a chance to win the game in the 9th, Sanchez and Frazier are swinging for the fences where LeMahieu is up there to give a good swing. He’s what I call a professional hitter. As far as calling that pitch against Brosseau a borderline pitch, please stop. Replays showed it was outside.

It’s been years since I first listened to this. I’m on my second listen to it today.

Not a fan of the Band I guess. To each his own.

You can make fun of I Am Woman if you wish but coinciding as it did with the rise of the women’s movement, it was an important song and inspirational for women at the time.

HBO Max doesn’t have all of TCM but they do carry a lot of foreign films and other interesting movies.
