  1. +1! Not really into the big boxes (though I own a few) - big $ investment and inconvenient packaging. All IMO of course, and yes, I'm generally out of touch.
  2. Dipping into a few discs (best-known material) from this box:
  3. Thanks for that info. Seems like good news. I recently bought some classical box sets on the Ricercar label (part of outthere) and got the impression of a high-class operation.
  4. I was thinking the same, but he very recently posted on this thread.
  5. I reordered (from a more respectable dealer), but the vendor is out of stock. Order still not cancelled, but I don't expect to receive the discs any time soon (if at all).
  6. Disc 2. I'll probably get flamed in some sectors for listening to this, but I wanted to compare versions (TS and Huelgas Ens.) of Brumel's "Earthquake Mass".
  7. The "Earthquake Mass" is an excellent piece! This disc could have been mentioned in the Dufay/Josquin thread.
  8. Final discs, 7 and 8 of 8. Mainly Obrecht and Prioris, but disc 8 also has pieces by Josquin, de la Rue and Brumel, among others.
  9. Discs 5 (Ockeghem) and 6 (Josquin, Compere, Brumel, de la Rue).
  10. Discs 3 and 4 - mostly Dufay, Binchois and Ockeghem.
  11. Discs 1 and 2 (of 8). Dufay is the main composer featured on these 2.
  12. This very set happens to be next in my listening queue!
  13. Jack DeJohnette "Concert for Inner Peace" (solo piano) http://www.woodstockguild.org/dejohnette.html
  14. "...den 24.xii. 1931" "Garbled news for baritone and instruments" is my favorite Kagel piece.
