  1. Congrats Packers, great win and a great turnaround to what early on looked like a mediocre season. Turned out to be a pretty good game. IMHO everything related to music was horrible, though. Really, there haven't been too many great halftime shows over the years, though. But the declining standards of what constitutes good (i.e., popular) music sure become evident in big events like this.
  2. Guess I should have renewed my subscription! Congrats Mark!
  3. Yeah, well read THIS obit a friend sent me. Unbelievable!
  4. Then of course there's the Kenny G version of this tune: "Crap Is Cool With Kenny".
  5. You know who needs to check this out? Allen! Allen! Allen! Allen! Allen! Allen!
  6. And we're lucky to have you, sir.
  7. He wrote so many great film scores. Can anyone recommend a good compilation of his work? I've seen several on Amazon but am not sure which is the one to get.
  8. Kenny G & Miles. Feel free to add your own caption.
  9. No shit. What a silly waste of time.
  10. Great cover too.
  11. This is some of my favorite Gil. Highest recommendation.
  12. Lance Bass Kilgore Trout Swordfish Trombones
  13. The Rainbow Bridge. Thanks- there are a few books with that title that seem to be similar. Which one specifically are you referring to?
  14. My sweet dog Clancey has passed away. That's him in my avatar. If you remember, when I was divorced several years ago I left him with my ex since she had the big yard and nearby dog park. Leaving him behind was really hard for me. I have been back to KC a couple times to visit him, and he always gave me an enthusiastic greeting. I really hate that I couldn't be with him in his last days. At least he's resting now. If there is a heaven, I couldn't think of anything better than to be greeted by all our lost beloved animals in a big grassy field. Now that I would truly look forward to.
  15. I love this one- what a great storyteller.
  16. Me too. I'm a fan. Beautiful arrangements by Gene Puerling, and Bonnie Herman has such a beautiful voice. She's done many commercial jingles in the U.S.- one I remember specifically was for the "incredible edible egg".
  17. This is a "desert island" Sonny Rollins side IMO. Must have.
  18. Yes, welcome, although I'm still trying to get past "taintradio". "Heh heh..."
  19. I always wondered where they kept their nuts.
  20. Showed up in the mail today! Looking forward to checking it out.

  22. He always talked about the importance of juicing, of which I have long been a firm believer. Turns out he didn't mean alcohol.
  23. I remember it from the 60s! clip
