  1. I'm not buying any more but what I am buying I'm getting for less. And there I've picked up on a few artists/cds I woould have overlooked or ignored.
  2. Nice cd. Everyone plays well, shame some of the solos by Land and Jones are a little short, on the opening track especially, as both sound really hot on this date.
  3. Thanks for the update Brownie, I wondered how this turned out.
  4. Asmall addition, I pulled out my old mono Impulse album yesterday. Sounds far better than the current cd. This is a great music, if it's not in your collection get it.
  5. Good luck, I hope it goes well. Take it from me it's hard work but it's good to put something back into the music.

    Chico Freeman

This is the place to start imo. 'Spirit Sensitive' is a ballad album that takes some beating.

    Chuck Mangione

I saw Chuck Mangione, with hat, at Ronnie Scott's in 1973. Mangione played flugel horn and piano, Gerry Neiwood (reeds), Al Johnson (bass) and Joe Lebarbara(drums). I rather enjoyed it.
  13. Sonny Rollins; There Will Never Be Another You. before that Pharoah Sanders; Karma
  14. I have one 3" commercial cd. It's on Delos by the Timeless All Stars. Tracks are Messina and Lupe.
  15. There are some dull spots. One cd made up of the best pieces would have been preferable.
  16. I feel I should like him more!
  17. I don't have this one. Sheppard created quite a stir when he came on the scene years ago. I've not heard that much of him in the meantime but I've never been really taken with his playing. I've noted his career move with some top bands with interest so he must have something. Sorry to say I've not found it yet.
  18. Gerry Hemingway's The Whimbler. Nice easy purchase direct from Clean Feed.
  19. I was lucky enough to find this set a few years ago. A nice addition to any collection.
  20. Add me to the list of fans of this album.
  21. Hanrahan played in London a while ago with many of these players. They made a pretty good sound. I think this is one for my wish list. The first Conjure album was very tasty.
