  1. Happy Birthday Brownie, glad to see you still come by and visit us occasionally!
  2. I remember 1997 being a particulary bad year for him, especially when he slipped to 141 in the world; his wrist injury was no help either. What I'm interested in knowing is whether he started out with something like pot or just went directly to meth. I mean meth has got to be one of the worst drugs to do, given its highly addictive nature and how it can ruin lives. Seemingly, Agassi pulled it together and managed to not let it take over his life.
  3. Agree!
  4. Chet Baker had Elvis Costello and Van Morrison as guests at Ronnie Scotts.
  5. BBQ'ing is officially over here in NE Ohio.
  6. A huge pot of home made chili.
  7. Well up playing poker tonight when I should be in bed
  8. Richard Davis on the Bruce Springteen's Born to Run album; David Murray guesting with the Grateful Dead and I think Ornette did something faintly similar, but can't recall the circumstances.
  9. Congrats Allen, looking forward to hearing the finished product. I really enjoyed your collaboration with Rudd on Woyzeck's Death, so to hear you with Rudd and Shipp oughta be pretty interesting!

Another for Ear of the Behearer-Sirone's musicianship on that album is amazing.

This is sad news. Dig his Live disc that Atavistic put out a few years back, plus the ESP dates he appeared on. RIP
  13. Ditto above. Glad to hear that he's back performing again.
  14. Just listening to the Dizzy Gillespie-Charlie Parker Town Hall cd tonight and it reminded how brilliant a player Dizzy was. Thanks for all the great music.
  15. Another Tommyknocker Butthead beer
  16. Some beer called "butthead"...tastes good (insert bad jokes here).
  17. Thanks again everyone, I'm having so much fun!
