  1. Those are excellent. Still need to score a copy of the Edition Ferrari LP.
  2. Seems like that's the case. I don't know if there are other tracks on LP or not; I've only seen these two volumes. The take of "Sonnymoon for Two" is badass; I recommend you pick up a vinyl when you see it (cost me about $5).
  3. Now: Ted Brown Sextet - Free Wheeling - (Vanguard/King Japan)
  4. V. One: Devilette, For All We Know, Sonnymoon for Two, Doxy. V. Two: Like Someone in Love, Body & Soul, There Will Never Be Another You, Blues Walk.
  5. Dexter Gordon - The Montmartre Collection, vol. 1 - (Black Lion/Polydor UK)
  6. Never really "got" POB but am still curious and feel that there's something there. Nevertheless, for me it just sounds OK at this point.
  7. There are two on BN, one on Strata, and all are excellent. Can't wait to hear this disc.
  8. Ah, thanks.
  9. Yeah, Nam June Paik's lady, Charlotte Moorman.
  10. I knew that about Columbia, but when did Capitol fall under the EMI header?
  11. UK pressing was on Columbia, US on Capitol. The latter probably leased the tapes at the time.
  12. Disconforme are boots in the sense that Actuels are boots. Promises made but not kept.
  13. The Cecil Taylor Unit/Donald Byrd-Gigi Gryce Jazz Lab - At Newport - (Verve, Japanese pressing)
  14. I like Mo Tucker - she was right for the band, and that's what matters. Ginger Baker's solos can be pretty ridiculous, but his tunes are interesting.
  15. Cool. I have a few Horos but the ones I want are out of pocketbook reach.
  16. Don Wilkerson - Elder Don - (BN NY mono)
  17. Have to get that disc and the book you mention. Thanks for your thoughts / reminiscences!
  18. Speed is not meth, however. That shit is rough. Faces of Meth
  19. I've never seen an OJC of the Harriott Jazzland LPs. They're fantastic, as is the Capitol/Columbia session Abstract.
  20. Wow, happy birthday Guy!
  21. Saw Harris Eisenstadt's band Canada Day on Saturday (brief stopover in NYC). They were very good.
  22. As cool as Burton Greene and Perry Robinson at my dinner table.
  23. Larry Coryell - Barefoot Boy - (Flying Dutchman) Pristine copy for $5. Guilty pleasure fulfilled, for now.
  24. Kenny Wheeler is fairly prominent on at least one Paul Weller album, IIRC.
  25. Some of that Assagai stuff is pretty rare. Saxophonist Sean Bergin was in a psychedelic prog band from SA called Abstract Truth.
