  1. You mean: Just the facts and pass the booklet.
  2. I like his stuff with that George Lane guy.
  3. Marilyn Crispell
  4. I cannot remember the label and google is giving me nuffin', but I was tapped to review it and it was noted as a boot (on a label that's issuing Coltrane and Bud Powell) - hence my slowly turning mental gears.
  5. They're issued and out there, so there's no harm in noting their existence. Links to download seeds is another story. Is this the same label family that is doing the Melodic Art-Tet boot? I would like to HEAR that one.
  6. Ah shit, I forgot to include Sonny Clark and Duke Jordan. Also our own Alexander Hawkins isn't too shabby!
  7. Welcome to the board. Lots to recommend and I'm bad at playing favorites. Still: Powell, Nichols, Tristano, Ball, Mal, Parlan, Jaki, Ran Blake, Paul Bley, Cecil, Greene, Friedman, Tyner, von Schlippenbach, Schweizer, Solal, Tusques, Tapscott, Alice Coltrane to name a few.
  8. My suggestion: buy Congliptious from Chuck, then All the Numbers when it's out and finally Old/Quartet upon its inevitable reemergence.
  9. I know, somebody needs to send them a copy of Ray Russell's Secret Asylum stat.
  10. It'd be even more if we were to factor in his post average during the extended time off!
  11. Very much looking forward to this set. I have some but not all of this material.
  12. I wish there was more from this combo.
  13. Sign me up! Same here! Actually, I'd love to come over to any of y'all's houses and listen to sermons, exotica and whatever else...
  14. I enjoy his late 60s/early 70s output pretty well. Haven't paid any mind to recent recordings though, because what snippets I've heard do nothing for me.
  15. I've got my copy. Excellent music.
  16. Link for their availability? Would like to hear this.
  17. Archie Shepp - On This Night - (Impulse orange/black mono)
  18. You live in Austin, so I would hit up End of an Ear (S. 1st, one block N. of Oltorf) and Backspin (Airport at 46th). Friends of Sound isn't worth it mostly because of their attitude. Waterloo is "OK" for new reissues but you'd do better somewhere like EOAE.
  19. Thanks for your support and glad you all like it!
  20. At least it's not "recordsforall" !
  21. Got an email from Ben noting some production delays. Hopes to have it done b/f the holidays.
  22. Or, sell the Commodore sets to someone on the board... That way you'll never have to worry about any of these things.
