If you're a member of the Hoffman board, you'll order the oldest one because it has to sound better.
I have heard both, they both sound pretty good. I don't remember one sounding better than the other to be honest.
I enjoy many classical music box sets because I haven't been collecting classical music until this century and I often have very few of the items in the box so duplication isn't an issue. I like sets of an artist's work for a label, generally a nice sequential listen.
Thanks for this. It looks like they're all alternate takes. I'll have to think hard about this one.

Not really alternate takes, previously unreleased alternate versions. Different arranger, session, and personnel.
I sprang for Prime for the first time this year. It's been great, especially since I have been ordering some medical type things for my parents, and the shipping on those is high. Prime makes it easy to choose an item and more affordable.
I stumbled across this filler site years ago but it really didn't help me much.
I like the Sarah. . . and the Tarantino mastering sounds pretty darned good.

Sons of Anarchy is a show I didn't want to watch and reluctantly started a few years ago and I confess I love it. I'm very disappointed that there is so little about motorcycling and motorcycles in the show. But I've been fascinated with the way the writers and creator craft the season, building up plot and misdirecting my expectations, etc. Very clever writing and directing and decent acting.
I have the lps and see and hear them as Jim does. I'd welcome a legitimate cd release especially if they were expanded. I can dream can't I? Has as much chance coming true as my other dreams. . . .
I think there were six EP records: Bird At St. Nick's Vols. 1-3, and Bird on 52nd St. Vols. 1-3. Not sure how many LPs this material was released on. OJC put out two cds.
