  1. No, not tired of Trane. . . but I found I had three different versions of some of these titles! I may end up keeping the K2s because no one seems interested, but they're wonderful sounding, and priced lower than I paid for them, considerably. I am keeping the new Verve Original versions of these titles because they more completely reproduce the album cover artwork and setup. And they sound different, but very good. These K2 remasters though, they sound better than almost any other release of the music to me, and maybe I should keep them. Oh the problems of being a compulsive collector!
  2. Updated, thanks Sandy.
  3. K2 prices updated. Thanks.
  4. PM returned, Thanks! More domestic and import Coltrane titles added.
  5. I'm interested in these: Miles Davis Quintet - Milan 10.11.1964 - sealed (Impro-Jazz) Miles Davis Quintet - European Tour 1967 (Stockholm 10.31.1967 and Karlsruhe 11.7.1967) (Impro-Jazz) Rahsaan Roland Kirk - In Europe 1962-1967 (Milan 11.15.1962 w/ Tete Montoliu and Prague 10.19.1967) (Impro-Jazz) - some scuffing on case
  6. bump for possible interest?
  7. Happy Moods sounds EXCELLENT. I have had an lp copy for decades, and it's very noisey. The cd sounds so sweet!
  8. There can be many different reflections of style within "black piano". . . that's all I can say. I'm generally pretty cautious with these things too, but I admit I do think in some instances of "black piano" and "white piano". . . . Ayway, Monk really does seem a "black artist" to me, right or wrong. And yes, indubitably individualistic.
  9. The more I hear it, which is about once a week this year, the more I love "My Ever Changing Moods."
  10. As Shawn noted, it's rainy and cold and the cold creeps in at ya. . . . I've resorted to this: Prepared with organic whole milk and a little cream
  11. Battlestar Galactica, season three
  12. ....says Lon, rolling up on 20,000. What's impressive from both of these members is the number of posts with actual thought and effort behind them. Thanks and congratulations, JSngry. To quote the old song (Jelly Roll and beyond) "I don't deny my name". . . . And yes, thanks and congratulations Jim.
  13. Hypergraphia LIVES! Hypergraphics UNITE!
  14. Okay it's about more than the Mafia. But it's not something I've ever enjoyed watching, sorry.
  15. Heck, Coltrane looks so cool I voted for him even before there was a thread!
  16. Californication, Season one, episode 2
  17. But will they still be in print then?
  18. There was not one past tense usage in my post!
  19. I hate his viciously insulting manner and I hate how firmly and resolutely he believes and attests that his opinion is better than others, and is in fact, fact. Other than that, no problem. Problem is there isn't much more than that in my estimation, or it dirties all the rest.
  20. Wow. I'll be interested in your opinions about any of the Dick novels when you get to them. Thanks.
  21. Continuing my Chandler review, alternating a Chandler with something else. Right now
  22. Ah, despite a few good lines I really don't like these movies very much. Mafia stuff just doesn't do anything for me. Skipped the Sopranos too.
  23. I've got a Mac, so maybe not the best judge, but none of the audience recordings I downloaded from the Archive gave me any harm in any way. Loved listening to those on my iPod. Some of them are so well recorded that sometimes I'd be freaked out by someone starting to sing along, "seeming to be" just behind my right shoulder!
